Is the Spotify/BBC eight part podcast on the Clash out yet? If not, it will be soon.

You said "no further comment", but I'll try anyway - Is there something in the works that would appeal to most of us around these parts?TeddyB Not Logged In wrote: ↑06 Feb 2019, 1:25amExpect something later in the year for London Calling 40th. No further comment from me at this point .

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Phil is working again w/ Bill, the director of The Slits doc? Nice. Don gave all the footage he shot to Bill. Wow.TeddyB Not Logged In wrote: ↑06 Feb 2019, 5:19amNo, however Phil is releasing a documentary on Don.BR16ADE_R055E wrote: ↑06 Feb 2019, 1:54amPhil Hunt?TeddyB Not Logged In wrote: ↑05 Feb 2019, 4:46amTrue, Gil. BTW, a quite successful UK film producer friend of mine (and Mick’s) has asked by Sony to produce a new making of LC documentary. He said only with Mick’s blessing. Mick laughed when he heard about this, since Sony had already approached the guy.

Yes, the director of the Slits doc is working on the Don one. Mick has seen it and says it’s good. The Don doc that is. As for the Slits doc, the remaining members are all bickering over it. Things don’t change, eh?

A LC doc, a topper autobiography AND a Don Letts doc - pretty good haul for one year I would say. Very chuffed with all that.

I'd like to see a 6 hour doc on the making of S! with a soundtrack to go with it full of live concerts, demos, studio jams and all the rest
