I've just rewatched all four of the Hannibal Lecter films and was thinking about giving the tv series a go. Is it worth a look?
I loved it. Gets a bit weird in places but otherwise brilliant.
Couldn't stomach more than two or three episodes.
Did it make you hungry?
For comic relief.

I've started the IT Crowd—I'm not liking it as much as Toast, but it shows some promise, 4 episodes in. I will say it's kind of weird watching a show and waiting for the first anti-trans joke to roll around.

Huh. Would you suggest I just stop now? Like I said, haven't been totally in love with it but it's had a couple moments.
It's a bit of a you have to see it to believe it situation. There are funny episodes along the way too.

I thought the Hannibal series was one of the best ever.

There's a hyper-transphobic episode in series 3 called Fight.

I have given up on Toast Of London. I quite enjoyed the first episode but after that I am either missing something or it is just very predictable and not funny. The songs just annoy me too.

I didn't really know it was coming up, I guess I was just expecting it, given Linehan's behavior. Sad that it's true.

Just watched it. Never seen it before, I think I only saw the early episodes.

Simpsons are pulling their Michael Jackson episode from syndication. Seems a bit silly to me.

The social media effect. It's fascinating to see how sensitive entertainment corporations are to negative buzz. There is zero reason to think this is about conscience or morality but rather brand preservation.

Maybe it's just because I watched part 1 of the documentary last night, but my instinct right now is no one needs to broadcast a sexual predator who raped children.

Yeah. It was the most disturbing two hours of TV I have ever watched. The excruciating detail...those poor boys.

Did anyone watch "Leaving Neverland" last night? It was the most horrifying thing I have ever watched. I know I sound hyperbolic, but I had a very hard time trying to sleep. MJ is guilty as fuck.
I don't think I can watch. I don't need to be persuaded of his guilt and immersing myself (that's the wrong phrase, but I can't think of anything better) would only make me feel worse about the world, I think.
Yeah. Part 2 is on tonight, and I am not going to watch. When I worked in child abuse prevention, I used to use him as the cornerstone for a stereotypical pedophile, and people would get very angry at me. Believe the victims, unless the allegations are against someone you are a fan of, I guess. I am hoping that this changes some minds. The fact that the Jackson estate released a concert from Budapest on YouTube last night to be played at the same time the doc aired seems especially desperate to me.
I watched part 1 last night. I don’t like trial by media however the evidence presented was well corroborated by the known facts leaving little or no other explanations.
My view before was that MJ was probably a paedophile however also suffering from some of mental illness that did not excuse his behaviour but partly explained it.
After watching I believe he was just an evil predator paedophile.
