The Waterboys/London Mick
The second track on the upcoming Waterboys album “Where the Action Is” entitled “London Mick” is a song by Mike Scott about Our Mick. More affectionate than Mike’s song “Mr. Charisma” about Keith Richards, the word I got from someone who shall go unnamed who got an early listen is that it’s a “proper song.” It also apparently proposes that Mick is working on something worthwhile that we will all want to hear. I think that’s a gentle prod from Mr. Scott!

Interesting. I've seen it described as a "stomper", can't wait to hear it.

I pictured a rainbow.
Forces have been looting
My humanity
Curfews have been curbing
The end of liberty
We're the flowers in the dustbin...
No fuchsias for you.

I subscribe it and I also think that a collaboration between them would not be a bad thing.laxman wrote: ↑11 Mar 2019, 3:12amExcellent proposal!TeddyB Not Logged In wrote: ↑10 Mar 2019, 4:23pmIt also apparently proposes that Mick is working on something worthwhile that we will all want to hear.

Holy fuck! That is the best slice of rock n roll I've heard in years. The Stones and The Clash just had a baby.
Seriously great track I'm fucking loving it and great to hear Mick getting the respect he truly deserves. I'm smiling like a fool and dancing like a dervish.

Nice one.
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
