Re: Looking for song suggestions for Rocking One's Face Off

The Kids - This is Rock'n'Roll
The Candy Snatchers - No Time to Waste (these guys don't get enough recognition)

on a side note, the best punk rock'n'roll show i've ever seen was the Candy Snatchers at 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis and they opened with the aforementioned The Kids tune.

Re: Madness Shortage: Rectified

"Sign of the Times" on the album 7 has always been a favourite of mine. also the Peel Sessions version of "Bed and Breakfast Man" (better than the LP version IMO).

Re: Great bands to come out of Canada?

I gotta weigh in on this because there are some glaring omissions (especially old punk/hc/new wave/garage etc bands). Personality Crisis (Check out the re-release of their album on the War on Music label - classic Canadian punk!) The Unwanted (BYO records - needs to be re-released) Stretch Marks (BY...

Re: What Are you Listening to on Vinyl Right Now?

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/41/Boomtown_Rats_-_The_Fine_Art_Of_Surfacing_album_cover.jpg Especially the song Nice N Neat. Great tune! I am going to a deal tomorrow night where Geldof is accepting some award (why it's in Winnipeg? I don't know). I'm mainly going to see if he will be a...

What ever happened to......

What happened to the release mentioned in this BBC news story? Anyone else remember hearing about this? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/wales/4707943.stm A CD and green vinyl record of an early Strummer tune, a folk number called Crummy Bum Blues, along with an interview he gave at the Glastonbur...
