Not sure if this has been previously posted, Paul Simonon speaks to Gary Kemp & Guy Pratt. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=gjuQOZhqz8c Yeah it's great I listened to it last year before the video was released...I just hope the galen and paul thing isn't a flash in the pan and they do more records and ...

Re: Sex Pistols

Certainly, there's no hate on that stage, which is going to be unique in the life of their five decade gigging history. Hello, The lack of tension on stage make his screaming and acting angry seem a bit of a pose - well, actually, quite a pose. Karaoke, yeah. He doesn't access the emotions of the s...

Re: Sex Pistols

Exactly. All the band members have played various Pistols tracks over the years. So why not play it all at a charity event. Jonesy singing Silly Thing/Black Leather/Lonely Boy/Here We Go Again and guests singers for the Bollocks stuff. Fuck it get Ten Pole to sing TGRNRS. It would be a great crack....

Re: Sex Pistols

Right and they could've played some of those Swindle tracks. It's for charidee mate. Did loads of swindle stuff with Billy Idol in Gen sex, was really good at Manchester but I'd have rather had jonesy sing a few Exactly. All the band members have played various Pistols tracks over the years. So why...

Re: Sex Pistols

Rotten/Lydon was such a distinct voice. Whilst his later PiL voice doesn't sound that great on Pistols material it's still hard to emulate. Carters shouty vocal is more in line with someone like Jimmy Pursey. They should use different vocalists per track. That would've been real fun. Malcolm McLare...

Re: Sex Pistols

It's great for the charity aspect. But I'm not a fan of Frank Carter's shouting. He used to be in a band called Gallows. Here's their cover of The Ruts classic "Staring at the Rude Boys". https://youtu.be/YfLz4nzrLQs?si=U28UDB5GAK8VqK6e It's a style I'm good with in smaller doses for needed emphasi...

Re: Has Mick retired?

It certainly seems that way. I would love to hear something new from him as I've loved his music ever since first hearing 'White Riot' as a 16-year old. Even off the beaten track things like the 6-track live cd with Taurus Trekker are great - you can feel how the audience appreciate him. Bollocks, ...
