Re: movies
Got a short list of recommendations? Might look into this. Oh yeah. Companeros , the Mercenary and The Great Silence by Sergio Corbucci are my favorite Spaghettis hands down. The Big Gundown by Sergio Sollima, Death Rides A Horse are both awesome Lee Van Cleef films. What do all these movies have i...

Re: movies
Spaghetti westerns are awesome, but it's hard to pirate the less popular ones so I drift in and out of getting into it as a genre. I mean buy. Theres a great obscure video rental store in my city (portland, or) and they have almost every spaghetti thats been released on dvd there so I've been spend...

Re: movies
Anyone here a Spaghetti Western fan? I've been like borderline obsessed with the films from the 60s and 70s made by Sergio Corbucci and other Italian directors. Love the style, the campy-ness, the humor, the violence and of course the music. Some of the best are Il Grande Silenzio, Companeros, The B...

Re: Straight To Hell (FILM) & Walker
The first half of that soundtrack is so instrumental I hesitate to even think Joe was on those tracks at all, other than a bit of producing and arranging. But that second half, some of Joe's best ever work. Tropic of No Return, Tennessee Rain, Musket Waltz, such wonderful songs. Very indebted to Bo...

Re: Boots Galore - The Megalist REMASTERED!
BTW, I don't mean to be such a Clash II purist ( ) but I'll be damned if the Give Em Enough Dope version of Straight To Hell isn't one of the best live recordings of the Clash ever. Pete and Nick are on fire on that tune. Eugene '84 I believe.

Re: Straight To Hell (FILM) & Walker
I didn't know STH was re-edited by the director. I'll have to see that. Yeah it's called "Straight To Hell Returns". Same movie but better audio fx and what Cox calls "enhanced blood and cruelty". Straight To Hell is definitely a movie you just have to turn your brain off and let it come at you. It...

Straight To Hell (FILM) & Walker
This has probably been said numerous times but I really think every die-hard Joe fan HAS to see Alex Cox's westerns Straight To Hell and Walker each released in '87 (STH just got an awesome director's cut overhaul). Joe is hilarious in STH, he basically has the lead role and his soundtrack to Walker...

Re: Out of Control Demos
It's a shame to learn that Knowles has the files in lossless and has chosen not to release them. I still have the originals from when Inder (I think it was Inder) put em up on the site years ago and they sound good, even at 192kbs. I came across someone else's upload of them on a blog and the files ...

Re: Boots Galore - The Megalist REMASTERED!
I'd give my right arm and an enormous thank you for a re-up of Give 'Em Enough Dope and related '84 shows (Eugene, Seattle, Chicago). Its good to be back on the site after a looong Clash hiatus. Thanks! Eugene and Seattle are both here. No Chicago or GEED though. http://laconquistadelpunk.blogspot....
