Maybe a 'lament for' rather than an 'ode to'?
That would be a much better way of putting it.

Re: What Are you Listening to Right Now?

cadizcd208Front_1024x1024.jpg A new release, some tracks from the now very hard to get hold of In Dub collection from a few years ago, some new stuff. This doesn't even show up on discogs—is it a boot? New release from the bands website. Has a few new tracks but a lot from the "In Dub" collection I...

New track finally released about a year late. Still not super happy with it, but had to wash my hands of it finally:

Wicked! Great work Kory. Played this through a handful of times and really dig the vibe. 😎

Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread

Does the Mick set come with "Train in Vain"? It's not listed on the box. There's a download code in braile. As long as it's the version we've heard over and over, I'm in. Sadly not it's Mick's original country and western demo version. No, it has to be the version that's been released fifty times a...

Rest in peace Dave.
Very nice. I particularly liked "this is where your solo would go".
A nice touch.

Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread

Good example of questionable inclusions would be the reusable shopping bag that came with the Rhino records bundle for the Replacements "Pleased To Meet Me" last year. I mean seriously, other than a collectable, who really needs or wants a Mats shopping tote? At least it’s functional unlike a fake ...

The book suggests Everybody Needs a Holiday was an ode to Mick's recently departed grandmother.
Mick dedicated Megatop to her.
Yes, I remember that. But had no idea about the song.
No me neither.

Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread

https://ultimateclassicrock.com/all-things-must-pass-box-set/ $225–$245—these things are getting to be seriously ugly class-based things. Whatever aesthetic, archival value these things provide, the absurd price tags on this stuff says it's an elite item. Fuck that on principle. Just read my email ...
