Re: Carbon silicon Studio stuff with drums

I had meant recorded in Manchester, not Liverpool. Misfiring synapses. Mick is not a fan of these recordings. The ADATs stolen from the bunker are not laptop recordings and range quite a bit farther than Steve’s description. So we think these are still the bunker recordings ? They were labelled up ...

Re: Carbon silicon Studio stuff with drums

Some are different versions of the whole song , Some are just instrumental with backing vocals. but studio recorded not bootleg If you haven't heard them they are definitely worth hearing and some might even say they are better than the original album versions. My only concern is getting someone or ...

Re: The Clash observations thread.

I think time can change your clash album preferences. Its why i am surprised when we are over 40 years listening to the same albums there is not a change of opinion. I tried to say something similar when tracks like E-mc2 from BAD are still listed as there best song or London calling from the clash....

Strummer 001

Looked for a thread that was about this album but couldn't find it so i started a new Just wanted to say i really gave up on listening to Joe Strummer music as i found him very hit and miss at best but this album that spans his career is very special. Re: B.A.D. Observations Thread

One of my favourites I wonder why this was never a single, I said this a while back, i think it has that same magical feel of E=mc2 and i really think it would have been a big hit if it was released. I know other 99 is a good track but i just think it has an acquired taste and was never going to do ...

Re: Blowing Carbon Bubbles

True that Mick wasn’t very happy with the Carbon Bubble. The finances and business issues, unforeseen in the early days of making music on a laptop with uncleared samples and putting it online for free, did complicate matters. Mick would likely have chosen to keep it unreleased, but the settlement ...

Re: Blowing Carbon Bubbles

I thought they were doing CS for fun, 2 old friends mucking about and making music together. Yeah they did say that at the beginning but i thought over time that changed well it seemed that way to me regarding Tony especially. If you consider 8 years of being in a band together is a very long time ...

Re: Blowing Carbon Bubbles

Why did Mick walk away from the second album The Carbon Bubble ? I might be one of the only few that actually really like this album and have heard a vocal opinion of most were disappointment in it. a popular view was i heard that Mich wasn't involved with it by the end leaving too much for Tony to...
