Re: The De-Berniator

It's been a while now and I've gotten over the initial freak out about this and have let it sit for a while. As I'm listening to it this morning I am still just amazed at how good this is and the amount of work that went into it. This takes me back to my initial disappointment/disgust of when this a...

Re: The Vanilla Sessions

Marky has released lots and lots of great stuff over the years, but this definitely has to go down as some of his most vital work. It brings these sessions from a peripheral, historical curiosity to a vital album's worth of material in their own right. It's like getting a new Clash record. Highly r...

Re: The Vanilla Sessions

I didn't think too highly of these when they were released but you've given them some real listenability. I'm really enjoying this.
Cheers Marky, excellent as always!

Re: WMIHSP - Punk Rasta Axis (AKA Satchs 1600)

Found it on an archived cd-r: https://mega.nz/file/hN1RRQCS#b_b4Ahtlrq4ZvNDBqDWSpADwh_qs_yIegbMrIsGYKmM It's formatted at 128 kbps (maybe that's what Snoh uploaded them as, but back then storage was an issue so I stored shit at 128) but I did clean up the meta tags some. Haven't heard this in dogs ...

Re: The David Bowie is God Thread

Agree, didn't mean to slag off Red Sails, it was Bowie's or Eno's or somebodys music originally but he never played Red Sails live he did play Sister Midnight. Regardless an awesome song and one of the greats in the canon of rock music. Iggy's lyrics and the music are pure legend. I love both songs ...

Re: The David Bowie is God Thread

I think The Lodger is a great album, and I like Visconti's remix from 2017. It was the first Bowie album in a while that had "songs" on both sides. Some of my all time favs "Look Back in Anger", "DJ", "Fantastic Voyage"(which happens to by me and the missus wedding song), "Boys Keep Swinging"...all ...

Re: What was the consensus surrounding Sandanista after its release in 81' amongst the Clash fanbase?

I bought it the day it was released. Some tracks took longer to get into. But it's one of my most played records ever. I love every groove of that album. I could go back to it and hear something new. Never boring! Fuck all the silly little punk rockers that only wanted 1-2-3-4. Truer words have nev...

Re: What was the consensus surrounding Sandanista after its release in 81' amongst the Clash fanbase?

I loved it the day I bought it, all 6 sides of it. It just got weirder and weirder, didn't know where it was going but by the end it was quite a trip. Turned me on to all sorts of new sounds and musical ideas

Re: Megatop Phoenix remaster

Megatop as an album is a masterpiece Surely not the taste of everybody because it very acid house oriented but it s the third time that our Mick reinvent himself. Pure class Agree 100%, to me this was the best of BAD I, thank you for the remaster Are you thanking bb for my remaster. 🤣 Ooooops, no j...
