Re: The Great Thread of YouTube Magnificence!

I'm gonna eventually melt your heart with some funky disco goodness. Hello, Conserve your energy for a non-futile task. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QyT9jTW7MHc&ab_channel=ReginaC%C3%B4rtes Great number. Reminded me of one of my dad's 5 tapes he played in the car. This, I'm certain, finished sid...

Re: The Ultimate Women's Album Poll 2020 - The Final Results & Round-Up

Big thanks to Doc for his trojan work throughout this marathon. Probably touch and go whether it was worth the hassle but it was very much appreciated. The final list obviously wont suit all tastes but i think there's a good variety to it and they're all strong songs, even the couple im not particul...

Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread

Dont mind DS, quite like Love Over Gold album, but mid 80s stuff is horrible. Money For Nothing and Twisting by the pool are two of the most annoying 80s tracks for me.

On that nme poll, don't think its that bad tbh. Only a couple of howlers there, would have expected more.

Just to echo the general shock and sadness here. This awful news really knocked me for six and i only came to be aware of him so very recently compared to most here so i can only imagine what people must be feeling. RIP.

Re: Texas Tour '83

I always think of that backstage interview he did where he looks and sounds utterly exhausted and drained. Think it's from toronto which would be late 82. Doesn't seem in a very good place to me at that point.

Re: Trivia Question

Question was in the guardian magazine quiz on Saturday: What links Talking Heads, Blondie, Wings, Fleetwood Mac? Relationships between group members? Bingo!!! You could be a bit more specific but you are close enough for the cookie. Good going, didn't get it myself. I wasn't sure whether they were ...

Ha....that post doesn't work without the context of the original tweet in which Rishi Sunak suggested to ITV that musicians would have to go and retrain for other jobs. ITV then deleted it!
