Re: Would/Should/Could The Clash headline Glastonbury?

Plus, the only way they'd get to be a main stage headliner at Glastonbury would be to have Bruce or some other mega star stand in for Joe. Otherwise, they're down the card or maybe headlining one of the lesser stages. Never into it anyway, but that just puts me even further off it.

Re: Would/Should/Could The Clash headline Glastonbury?

I watched the macca set and found myself a little bored for a lot of it but the ending was good and couldn't help but marvel at the guy's stamina and commitment to put on a great show. As for the Clash, it's a firm no for me anyway. Of course, we can't be objective voices here, but the idea of anyon...

Poor Rudy, he could have been seriously injured.....NOT! By the looks of the video of the back slapping incident, he's blowing this thing all out of proportion. https://twitter.com/RonFilipkowski/status/1541201416949211136?s=20&t=3oAH-UnDCSdbJ6pxmWQ6cg Rudy will be furious his broken window policy ...

Fair play to her. They showed a bit of her set on the tv feed but not that, must check it out. Really like her voice.

Re: Hey Limeys...

Speaking of the Sleaford Mods, I caught a bit of their set at Glastonbury last night and have to say they're not the smoothest looking bunch alright. But I definitely don't dislike them, not sure I'd stay the distance for a whole set, but 15-20 minutes was pleasant enough. Great energy about them. ...

Re: No, No, Don't Worry. Sexism is Pretty Much Over.

America just gets closer and closer to reclaiming greatness. All the awfulness of the past 6 years, I keep coming back to the abysmal campaign that Clinton ran. Just fucking terrible in its consequences. As an aside, I subjected myself, for some reason to Clinton's post election debrief - What Happ...

Re: Hey Limeys...

I've been watching the This is England series after liking the movie, and it's the first time in my life I've ever had problems understanding English accents (unlike my baffling friends and family who report an inability to even understand something like Downton Abbey ). I'm reading it's supposed t...

 Insane but  Probably merits a few volts through the cranium alright, but seems to me everybody here has their edgy clash opinion, whether it's GEER being the best album or clash 2 being better live or Junco Partner not being utterly brilliant or whatever, really good edgy stuff, so I fig...

Re: God Tier GEER version

The tragic thing is that this was avoidable. Ever since the cd, skipping these songs is very, very easy! Too easy for the faint hearted. I don't even skip Mensforth Hill when I listen to S! straight through. It's all the way or none of the way. Like climbing 29,000 feet up Mt Everest and getting a ...
