Re: NFL 2022

Was a sports fanatic most of my life up to, I'd say, c.10 years ago where, for various reasons, the flame began to wane. I still watch a good bit of it, attend the very odd event, but it doesn't dominate my life like it sometimes did and I'm undoubtedly happier for it. I don't even have a paid sport...

Re: Wildlife Encounters

Looks pretty good to me anyway. Might just be my excuse for general slovenliness, but I'm a bit of a Thatcherite when it comes to gardens ie minimal state interference and let the markets (flora and fauna) pretty much regulate themselves. The Boss is a big proponent of letting things develop as the...

Re: Wildlife Encounters

The Boss just shared with me a photo she took this morning. Note the guy climbing the frontmost bird bath. IMG_6021.jpeg You've been holding out on us all these years. That is clearly Mick's shed at the end of your garden. Us Clash fans were led to believe it had gone missing. But no there it is in...

Re: Hey Limeys...

I think the general rule is that as a middle name, or part of a double barrel, it's Sinjun. The "stately plump Buck Mulligan" in the opening line of Ulysses is based on a bete noir of Joyce's called Oliver St John Gogarty, pronounced Sinjun. Anyone i know whose surname is St John is always pronounce...

Re: Association Football Thread

Well done England, best team over the tournament and fully deserved. Thought game was a bit tense and scrappy up to first goal which was quality, as was the equaliser. Bad break for Germans to lose their star player before kick off.

Re: Return of the Mighty Observations Thread

I had no idea it was so loopy. I thought it was a standard PI show, with Hawaii being the "unique" quality. It might just be that i only remember the loopy bits, but it definitely did try to trade on giving a unique twist to the traditional private dick show. 'Nam flashbacks was another popular dev...

A full release of soundtracks would be good, including When Pigs Fly and all of Permanent Record.
Hell yeah. I wouldn't expect all alleged 9 hours of WPF recordings, just half would do. And maybe some Walker outtakes while we're at it!
