The campaign I'm managing has been making the news, second most expensive legislative race in the state of Colorado: https://coloradosun.com/2020/10/21/colo ... -election/
I know it's perspective but Lisa Cutter looks *tiny* in that picture :)

Re: A Bunch of Fives (New Challenge Thread)

Oliver has put a few reviews in, not sure if he wants to offer anything up? Yeah... it was harder than I thought. But here goes - in chronological order: Swimmer - Ponces (1995) Such a simple song but so catchy. At the time, it made me feel like I could do it too (narrators voice: he couldn't.) A c...

Who was the cinematographer/DOP of Don Lett's 'Bankrobber' promo video?
I'm guessing it's Jack Hazan (as was the case with 'Rock The Casbah')
...Anyone know for sure?
Might be worth asking him on Twitter ( @RebelDread )

Re: A Bunch of Fives (New Challenge Thread)

Blackouts 6.5/10 Wasn't a fan of the vocals on first listen but they kind of grew on me. Musically, I found it really interesting but it didn't excite me the way some music can and I was drifting off around the 5 minute mark. I feel somewhat awkward in saying a song should be shorter because I have ...

Goddammit, Limeys, you're asked for the best album of the 80s and your one-two punch is The Joshua Tree and Brothers in Arms ? No more canvassing your opinions! :naughty: https://www.nme.com/news/music/u2-the-joshua-tree-has-been-voted-the-greatest-album-of-the-1980s-bbc-radio-2-poll-2777950 Here's...

Hard to add anything that hasn't already been said but if his family do ever find this thread they'll see how well liked and respected he was and how his love for his family shone through. That's quite a legacy.

Re: A Bunch of Fives (New Challenge Thread)

Nilüfer Yanya 5/10 I don't know. I liked this to a point but the vocals did get a 'bit much' for me in the end. If it had ended around the 3 minute mark I'd have been a couple more points generous. Maybe if I could have made out a single word of the lyrics I might have been more engaged. Jeff Rosens...

Re: A Bunch of Fives (New Challenge Thread)

JDB I used to be a big MSP fan... love the 2nd, 3rd and 4th albums (first has it's spots too) but kind of lost interest a little bit after that. I still want them to return to the Manics I liked but also somehow appreciate that they've moved on. Without hearing this, I probably wouldn't have bothere...

Re: Trivia Question

Heard this one today... didn't get it myself: What group has had a UK #1 in four different years with the same song? Queen with 'Bohemian Rhapsody' as it straddled the festive charts in 1975/76 and 1991/92. 11 minutes! Nearly took me as long as that to make sure I worded it correctly. Good work

Not sure if this one qualifies... Aimee Mann - Save Me. It's on a soundtrack (which is not exclusively Aimee Mann) but I think it was tacked on to the end of a real album after it was nominated for an Oscar (and lost to Phil Collins and his cartoon monkey love song (trademark: Aimee Mann in concert...
