Re: How many?
I think, as with every leap forward with technology, sooner or later one of the flaws of mankind emerges. ie selfishness. The internet is a fabulous invention, a gateway into the most comprehensive and constantly-updated library ever. But there'll always be people who just dive in and pillage what t...

Re: Got Any Cool Vinyl?
I mentioned this stuff way back and got some short shrift at the time for my views. My main beef was the stuff that ended up on Ebay without any chance of genuine fans getting them from the retail outlet. Now it's even worse with bad pressings and some (not all) bad releases. Way more thought and c...

Re: Cassette boots
Ah, I remember the thrill of seeing this sort of thing on market stalls and at record fairs.... usually sold for about £3, while bootleg LPs (if you could find them) were £10-12. Happy days.
I admire the (ahem) reboots of these classic bootlegs - they look great.

Yeah, Mr Harley made some great records! Everyone remembers Come Up & See Me of course, but Mr Soft and Judy Teen were catchy and quirky enough to lodge firmly in my childhood memory bank, and sound great to this day.
RIP Steve.

Re: Mick solo Palladium NY 281091 RESTORED
I hate to be the obsessive moaning nerd again, but the first song Innocent Child appears twice at the start of Seb's original post. Not a complaint, merely an observation! I'm sure it can be fixed to make one master version (there's a wee bit of extra chat at the start of one which is missing on the...

Yes, a nice anecdote about Johnny Green, Romolo. And I too have a copy of 'A Riot of our Own' which is signed by him in green ink! - yes, it must have been his trademark. My copy was bought from Helter Skelter books in London, a great rock and roll music bookshop based in the old Regent Sound studio...
