Re: Ghetto Defendant DUB

Is there any chance of Ghetto in FLAC? I'd love to put it with the recent HD Combat Rock remixes you've provided in that format. All together a fine package. Great work.

Re: The Clash Tribute Albums Thread

Thanks for posting these albums. There are a few things I know of. A double set of cds that came with Uncut magazine (UK) around 2000 (?) and a couple of other UK magazine related items. I'll try and dig them out, burn them and post them if anyone's interested, or beat me to it.

Re: Has Mick retired?

It certainly seems that way. I would love to hear something new from him as I've loved his music ever since first hearing 'White Riot' as a 16-year old. Even off the beaten track things like the 6-track live cd with Taurus Trekker are great - you can feel how the audience appreciate him. Bollocks, ...

Re: Arturo Barea 'The Forging of a Rebel: The Clash'

Almu's tour is great value for money. My 3 hour tour lasted five and a quarter! She'd asked if I had anything planned and when I said I didn't she said she might overrun a little. I think we only stopped because, as she was heavily pregnant at the time, she was exhausted. I was in a position at the ...

Re: Arturo Barea 'The Forging of a Rebel: The Clash'

Enjoyed reading that thanks for posting. I very recently discovered this which although in a different region of Spain may be of interest https://thespanishcivilwar.com/ Thanks. I went on Nick Lloyd's 'George Orwell' tour several years ago and I might have put him off his stride by having read 'Hom...

Arturo Barea 'The Forging of a Rebel: The Clash'

I have just returned from a fortnight in Spain, mostly in Madrid but a couple of days in Zaragoza for the first time. After reading about Arturo Barea’s autobiography, ‘The Clash’ from his ‘The Forging of a Rebel’ trilogy, in the topic of whether Paul Simonon really named The Clask, that was the boo...

I want to know what Clash songs are best suited to grocery stores and gas stations. "Lost in the Supermarket" won't help you find that tin of beans you are looking for.
You get double points in Tesco if you use your Clubcard when 'The Card Cheat' is on.
