I love Sandinista! as released but this was a bit of a challenge to myself to see if I could get a more commercial album out of it using edits and a more user-...

Re: Rat Patrol 2LP acetate

This might sound like an off the wall choice but Todd Rundgren would have been a good pick too. I think he and Mick would have hit it off and he was/is a big a pothead as they were. He helped The Psychedelic Furs and Cheap Trick make the transition from riff-rock to more mainstream New Wave club-re...

Re: Clash Collaborations

Thanks Marky, I've been looking forward to this for a while. I never knew of Neneh Cherry's vague connection with Bim. I know the song, just didn't realise this was before her and Cameron McVey were a couple, so obviously before the both of them were involved with Stock, Aitken & Waterman. Don't go ...

Re: Destination Rock 'n' Roll

I've already thanked you for this Marky, but after playing it a few times over the last couple of days I can't get over how well it goes together as a compilation. It sounds great, as ever with your work, and may well mean '001' and 'Assembly' will be mostly overlooked in future.

The Jam: Fire & Skill & Disappearing releases

When The Jam's 'Fire & Skill' box came out I really wanted it but circumstances dictated that it couldn't happen. Now that I am in a slightly better position I tried having a look for it, only to find out it is still out of my reach. OK, there are some copies available at high prices on ebay and the...

Re: Sandinista as a double

I missed this first time around and have just listened to it for the first time. A belated thanks John, especially the edits which make sense. Any chance of posting this as individual tracks as a download? I have some time through the week and I will try mate. I sequenced it on my digital recorder ...
