Thanks Battersea, I have that record , its a good one too. Apparently there are recordings with them playing entire sets with Joe Ely and his band and him joining in on their sets.

No apparently whole sets were recorded , The Clash played with his band several time during that tour

on a different note,I understand during Joe Ely's time in England with the Clash in1978 the gigs at the Hope and Anchor club were recorded along with gigs at other venues. Is this true and if so are they available?

I don't get the Bonds fascination. Must've been amazing to see live, but the recordings sound like a sloppy/exhausted band.

The Jam also did a good job of the Setting Sons box including all the demos.
I'm sure by now Joe would have changed his stance on Rat Patrol for a Combat Rock box.
