Totally agree A damn good guitarist too There are some good songs on the album but the drum sound was terrible. Also agree a...

Re: Tony James Interview
It's a good podcast. Maybe they can convince Mick to be on a future episode. They seem to suggest a part 2 of Tony's interview covering Sigue Sigue Sputnik and beyond.

Re: Tony James Interview
No, unfortunately they didn't ask questions about any future reissues. Tony mentions he has tapes going back to pre-punk and not involving Mick.
The podcast is hosted by Gary Kemp and Guy Pratt who both seemed to be big Generation X fans.

Re: Marky's new remasters thread
Thanks for the info Teddy. A shame Jamaica was not recorded on multitrack. Its a live show I've listened to a lot over the years. What a journey the band had been on, from the debut LP, to Terry's last performance with them.

Re: Marky's new remasters thread
On multiple re-listens to the Jamaica show, this should have been the live lp to tide the Clash over before a next studio album was due.

As long as they used Derwood's tapes of KMD and not the Anthology mixes.

Re: Marky's new remasters thread
Excuse me, a curiosity: is Jamaican World Festival a repost or a remake? I saw a small difference in the artwork and the lack of the "Outro". A new remaster. Hence the title of the thread. And an amazing new remaster I might add, really brought some life that show! Just listening to this remaster. ...

Re: Whats left?
I've been hoping for the either Valley of the Dolls or Kiss Me Deadly to be remastered and expanded. I'd love to hear either given the full treatment. Apparently, the 2002 remaster of Kiss Me Deadly was from an inferior source. Terry played on the last Gen X lp and his style suited the vibe they wer...

It's fucking great Marky. It makes me want to plug in my guitar and annoy the neighbours. Top job, you've curated and preserved history at a very high level.

Re: Anybody like The Cult?
I'm not a fan of the Sonic Temple era Cult, but I am a fan of the Love album. Billy Duffy and the Gretsch White Falcon were a good combination. Electric is a good album too. Why they did Born to be wild when there was better material like Love Trooper and Zap City to develop. Other random bit and pi...
