Re: Coronavirus Thread of Doom

I find it difficult to comprehend why some people feel so strongly about masks. This is just beyond the pale. https://twitter.com/kodacohen/status/1420556870775885826?s=20 It's a little piece of cloth, not being sent to the gulag. These fuckers. My organization is also taking part in a press confer...

Re: Association Football Thread

Hello, I was hoping for Denmark to advance to continue their story - but England deserved to go on. Sterling is having a great tourney. I just hope the Italians don't plan on kicking him six feet up every time he gets the ball outside the area. Denmark ran out of steam after about 60/70 minutes. Th...

Re: clash images washed up on the internet's seashore

I think this was from an issue in No. 1 magazine circa 1979. . . 5330111201_36db15ff50_o.jpg Mainline was a shop in my home town. I bought a pair of second hand 'clash Jeans' off a mate who had become a Mod. Only time I ever remember wearing then was to see The Clash in 1980  Hey I've never ne...

Re: Association Football Thread

Hello, England were the better side - although it would have been interesting if Mueller hadn't choked. I'm usually not a Pickford fan but I thought he did well today. Game changed when Grealish came on. Mueller moment was crucial. Pickford was very good. He has his critics but has never let the na...

Cracking evenings entertainment. Stunned to see France get knocked out. Only got themselves to blame. Tournament is now wide open.

Hello,

I'm sorry, Scotland, but you won't be boogie-ing tonight.
Good call. The long Scottish wait to progress from a tournament group stage continues.

Re: Greatest Album of 1979 - Elimination Round 7

This is extremely tough as these are four of my all time favourite albums in what in my opinion was the best year for music ever. Reluctantly going to pick The Jam.

Re: Greatest Album of 1979 - Elimination Round 6

My point here isn't that the cover versions detract from it being great in any way but that this is all about 1979 and the albums that will most likely be 1-2-3 The Clash/The Specials/The Jam all rely heavily on the past. These are 3 of my favourite albums. I was listening to them upon release in 7...

The idea that IMCT would long tolerate the mixture of hectoring leftist politics and punk-funk was always farcical, and so Gang of Four have predictably been shown the door. What’s next, ya bunch of Tories?
The politics are fine it's the funk I'm not so keen on.

Re: Rat Patrol 2LP acetate

Just thinking between geralds cut the crap, a new joe release, material of some description on the way from don and these rat patrol acetates on top of all the marky offerings, the cup of the average clash obsessive truly runneth over at present. I wish i had the tiniest scintilla of know how to be...
