Re: It's Always Sunny – Season 6
Anyone watching the new season? I’m enjoying it so far but disappointed it’s only 8 episodes and 6 have aired already. I don’t think anything will ever reach the level of seasons 2-7 for me but it’s better than the last season. I've watched the first five. It's a beast that's limping along at this ...

Re: So what's your concert schedule looking like?
Saw QOTSA a few times last week. Not sure if anyone here is a fan but they put on really great shows and my only complaint is that I would have preferred maybe a touch more variety in the setlists.

Re: Arms Aloft In Acton Town
Yeah, I just talked to Mark Bedford (the organisator). No gig this year. Thanks for confirming! It was a nice excuse to travel to London but guess I’ll just have to find another reason this year haha The Caribbean food on Walworth Road is a good reason. Never tried it but I’ll have to add to my lis...

Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread
Grohl and FF are sort of the inverse of having to deal with a band you love having a total asshole in it. I'd love to love the music Grohl makes - dude seems cool as shit - but as everyone says here it's all just so middling. I respect that a lot of people swear by the live show, but I'm just not c...

Re: Arms Aloft In Acton Town
Has anyone heard anything about 2023’s anniversary show? I don’t see anything on the Facebook page/website and am wondering if they’ll do it again or if it’s stopped at 20 years. They only happen every 5 years unfortunately Ahh, didn’t realize that! Just thought they had skipped a few due to the pa...

Re: Arms Aloft In Acton Town
Been a while but here's my report from the shenanigans Headline is NO MICK, according to some folk I spoke to he's pretty much retired from live work all together. Which was a great shame as he was the main pull for me even though it was on a hope and a prayer he might be there .... however Tymon D...

142) Christine - Stephen King. 1983. Read the way I find the most comfort from Stephen King; on a second hamd paperback with a garish scary-movie cover (a tie-in with the John Carpenter film) a battered spine, yellowing, dog-eared pages and the smell of a too-hunid public library. My sense memory b...

Re: Any plans?
On my way to fly back to the US from London for the Acton Town gig on Saturday. I was really hoping Mick would show up so I could cross it off my bucket list, but it didn’t work out (which I totally understand, I knew going into this it'd be long shot). Still had a great time though. That being said...

Re: The "Rush" enigma
My brother in law and I have complete opposite tastes in music and Rush is one of the only songs we both like. He refers to it as “that one song from Big Daddy” though
