Re: Simon Humphries "The Clash"

Busta having played bass in Sharks would certainly be a draw for Mick, considering the same Clash album featured his tribute (SISOSIG) to their song Sophistication. Didn’t Jerry claim he played it though?

Re: Simon Humphries "The Clash"

I know Mick’s a fan of Paul’s playing, certainly by this point. Though I do hear some of Mick on the LC album, I don’t think he replaced him to near the level Keith and Taylor and assorted stand up bassists replaced Bill Wyman’s parts. I do think Mick layered enough guitars on the early albums to fi...

It almost made it to FHTE, maybe for that moment alone...

Never sounded random to me. Classic, more like. Keith/Stones, or Beatles touch. Or even Ronno.
Sounds like a Ronno or Keith thing to my ears also.

Yes, a guitarist/arranger’s touch.

Then again... https://mega.nz/file/YQh1XDzA#HIg452iRlxHhz4x8_e6qIjqTrFLRhXTMsvUPt4Ualks Thank you!! Man, I can see why Lightning Strikes was taken out of the set..yikes Mick! Then again, they included it from June 8th in Clash on Broadway! I think it was mainly taken out as too similar to Mag 7.

He’s been writing pages but not about his career.
Would love to hear Mick’s story in his words.
No reason I’d expect that will happen.

Nice work Sherlock Dread and Dr Inder!
Don't forget to thank Mr. Tibbs (Sidney Poitier) or should that be "it's Potter!" - Grandad. 🤣
My favorite moment of all the Bonds tapes. A poor choice I think to use Mag7 from Boston instead, but there were political reasons (with a small p).

Re: Bond International Casino Remasters

Any ideas anyone? As I’ve now got time on my hands, and inspired by Marky’s efforts on this, I dragged a box of cds/cdrs out of storage with a view to ripping them to hard drive. One of them was the “This is Radio Clash” double cd (snotty snail) of Bonds. I am aware that this is the same mix as Bon...

Re: Blowing Carbon Bubbles

True that Mick wasn’t very happy with the Carbon Bubble. The finances and business issues, unforeseen in the early days of making music on a laptop with uncleared samples and putting it online for free, did complicate matters. Mick would likely have chosen to keep it unreleased, but the settlement ...
