Re: What Are you Listening to Right Now?

https://louderthanwar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/JBGSOM.jpg Just broke this out and so far I'm digging it more than the other Guantanamo records (they never quite grabbed me). Mixture of hardcore and some basic hard rock, tho curiously Biafra's voice isn't prominent in the mix. There's somethin...

Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread

A (possibly) interesting argument to be had: Which decade's dreck (of the rock era) is the worst? I am intrigued if we compare 85-89 vs 96-00. Five year segments seem to represent full movements more tightly than whole decades. I think hair metal and nu metal would largely cancel each other out and...

Re: AHDN - Side A - Round 1

One of my favourite Beatles songs, "I Should Have Known Better," is on this album. I know it won't beat the title track, but making the final two would be satisfying.

Re: With the Beatles / Side A / Round 6

Ok Doc, time for some truth. Everybody else gets to pull out an "everybody's taste here is terrible" card when the votes go against them. I reserve the right to use mine. A pretty resounding defeat for your boy. I feel like Nostradamus over how this has turned out. Everybody's taste here is terrible.

Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread

A (possibly) interesting argument to be had: Which decade's dreck (of the rock era) is the worst? It's definitely one that can't be won because it's very hard to really agree on what's the absolute worst flavor of feces. Less about winning or losing than exploring people's criteria for awful or wha...

Re: The Dictator observations thread.

Yeah and maybe try a wired port or reboot your home router even? From a pure technical standpoint this is the most ridiculous. Maybe that should be my new go to. "Were you doing anything critical of the liberal elite when your network outage occurred?" Yeah, I mean, I am the most tech challenged pe...

Re: The Election Thread To Talk About The Election

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/oct/23/us-2020-election-highest-rate-voter-turnout And, again, I have a hard time believing that a significant portion of these people are those who regret not voting Republican last time (that they sat it out or voted for another party). A high turnout almos...
