Re: Thread of Dreams
The Americans is probably my favorite TV show of the last decade. Definitely watch it if you get a chance. I know everyone says this about every tv show, but it gets even better after the first season (which is still good, but they start getting more ambitious after the slightly more generic season ...

Re: Association Football Thread
Hello, The EPL has some very exciting games but the level of play in the Bundesliga is much higher. Watching Bayern-Dortmund today and seeing how players connect quick passes in tight spaces (some brilliant touches) is really impressive. Perhaps some EPL games are more exciting but damn, the German...

Because it's good. It is the worst of the Combat Rock-era b-sides. Which is some accolade. The fact that you think it's worse than Cool Confusion is all the evidence I need that I'm right. Friends, allow me to broker a compromise of sorts: both of them suck. A mystery: You're clearly right here, bu...

Why are loads of people choosing the absolutely dreadful First Night Back in London? Because it's good. It is the worst of the Combat Rock-era b-sides. Which is some accolade. The fact that you think it's worse than Cool Confusion is all the evidence I need that I'm right. Friends, allow me to brok...

The idealist curmudgeon Steve Albini and Oxbow's Eugene Robinson on various non-music subjects: https://eugenesrobinson.substack.com/p/bigger-black-5-easy-pieces-wsteve This was great. I never think of Albini as one of my all time punk guys, but he really low key is. Just a tremendous ethos and bot...

I'm not going to include any CoL tracks, to keep it interesting: 1. Justice Tonight/Kick It Over 2. Jail Guitar Doors 3. Pressure Drop 4. 1977 5. City of the Dead I'd have included Robber Dub if SBMC featured the Bankrobber/Robber Dub edit from BMC. I think it was Banky who said that was his favorit...
