Re: Best and worst Clash b-side
Best would be Armagideon Time, but it just shades Radio Clash. Worst probably Radio One or Rocker's Galore. I think I've only heard those once or twice. I remember Mikey Dread is just toasting over If Music Could Talk or something talking about going on tour with the band. Either that or I'm confus...

I'm moving to cambodia next month.....the paddy fields and parrots beak(nam border) of cambodia is pretty dead on with what the clash sung about.
My first day over their while visiting I had my CD Player blasting and i kept charlie dont surf on repeat....it was fucking awesome to say the least!

So I started following all 3 members of The Clash on Twitter. I have only tweeted Mick and I get great responses both intelligent and legit about music and life but I'm starting to wonder if its really him along with the other 2.
Guys have any idea if its bullshit?

Re: Favorite Performances of a song live?
The Call Up/Complete Control 6/9/81. Out Of Tune...blasting away. Topper and Mick showing a MVP PERFORMANCE. That right their is why The Clash are in the H.O.F and the greatest Punk band of all time.

Re: Rare songs live in '83
Joe gave an interview after the Amarillo show (which he was bitching about being a poor, rusty performance) where he addressed that. Said when they reconvened for rehearsal they wanted to get some material they'd never played before into the set. So everybody got out all the records, listened to th...

Re: Bonds Gear
Any of you guys like his use of guitar effects(talking guitar only) on any other boot or performance?? I enjoy 1980 paris video..train in vain. He fucked up the entire song but it sounded beautiful to me since the effects overcome his horrid play.

Re: Junkie Slip Poll
Have always hated this song with a perhaps irrational passion (judging from the poll results at least). Whereas Look Here I just had no interest in from a stylistic standpoint and Mensforth Hill was an obvious non-song with at least some cool sounds, I've always regarded this song as just worthless...

I take it over more then half the second side to sandinista. Joe loves singing about shit like that and that background "Get Onnn" is cool.

Re: Bonds Gear
I feel like his MXR gave it the real punch in songs like charlie dont surf and the call up. I saw the Roland amp in the back round so i assumed he used effects from that more then the space echo

Re: Favourite little moments in Clash songs
The Tim Curry thing's been on the Sandinista wiki article for ages. That might be the source of confusion. Fixed. Although we'll see how long before it's changed back. I tried to battle some idiot on the CTC page who keeps insisting Nick is the second voice on Play to Win and not Fayney and just ga...

Re: Terrible Clash Covers
Nick Hexum fails. I love nick hexum just as much as joe(yeah i said it at least i have seen hexum in person) He played a killer straight to hell back in late 2004 and I saw him cover white man in NYC and the crowed went wild. Much respec...
