Re: The Clash Studio Logs/Sessionography

marquee3.jpg I think the March dates are for the first takes early versions. The record label states June. So it's fair to assume they went back and reworked the tracks. You can clearly hear extra instruments in the final mixes. SBMC has all the songs from the Marquee sessions as being recorded in ...

Re: IMCT is 20! Great Threads (2012-2022)

That thread where IMCT members added dialogue to the movie clips from films made in India was so damn fun. I can't remember if it was pre-crash or after I think that was pre-Crash. But that was dumb fun, yes. It was post crash. Search "Bollywood" in thread titles but all the movies have been remove...

Fuck it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_UK_Rock_%26_Metal_Singles_Chart_number_ones_of_1987 Most of these songs are way better than CCN: Alone, Still of the Night, Final Countdown, Pour Some Sugar On Me, Wanted Dead or Alive are all bangers. I've never heard of Marillion before. Maybe that's...

Re: IMCT is 20! Clash/related Releases and Bootlegs (2012-2022)

The TRAC demos were a great find. As important in their own way as the Rat Patrol acetates. I agree. Always exciting to hear something completely new, plus Marky worked his magic as always. Probably his best salvage job ever. The original was nigh on unlistenable due to the sound dropping in and out.

The Humble Breast of Lamb - Part 2.

Given it a sear in the pan to start rendering some of that fat down and now covered up tightly in the baking tray to go in at 150c for the next few hours. Salt, pepper, garlic and rosemary were added.
Looks pretty fine to me.

Re: Back to The Clash - Who has seen them and when?

Saw The Clash 25 times, my only regret was not seeing them earlier. My school mates 1n 1977 went to see them and I was still listening to Prog Rock Bands. I wasn't hit by the Punk thing until a couple of years later. Missed The Boat!!!! Hammersmith Odeon 27 Dec 79 Leicester 16 Jan 80 Manchester 3 F...

Re: Back to The Clash - Who has seen them and when?

Missed them by half an hour on the busking tour, I was at Newcastle Monument that day. Got into the Clash in 1983 so no real chance of seeing them, though I probably would have made it to Brixton Academy in 1984 for one of the Arthur Scargill shows if I knew they were happening. Saw BAD loads of tim...
