Re: The Sandinista! Project

Best album ever. I consider it the best they ever did. I understand why many disagree with me on this point, but I can listen to it 24/7. It rocks! The thread is about the 'cover' album, not Sandinista itself. Unless you were being sarcastic in which case I will get me coat :disshame: My bad. I gue...

Re: Hong Kong AC Hall 1982 FLAC - help

 Random thought that popped in my head regarding using Linux. Probably more amusing if it had stayed inside my head, too. Oh. I'm not like a hardcore Linux dude. I just got sick of Windows and I'm much too poor to be able to buy a Mac, so that was my only option. I thought you were anti-Mac. H...

Re: The Megalist Technical Discussion Thread

The biggest issue I've run into seems to be something that is either recorded on a very low level, or is a phonograph recorded without amplification. Whichever the case, all they really need is to be normalized to regular levels. I personally prefer 98% myself, but I digress. I do recall running int...

Re: Background Clash

OK, despite my super-suaveness and incomparable coolness, I'm a goofy nerdy kinda fellow. So I dig anime and have recently gotten into manga (Japanese comics). I'm currently digging on a manga called "Bleach", which is also a toon on the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. So, in this manga, there is a fu...

Background Clash

I love hearing The Clash appear in the background music on TV. It's always kinda weird. I was watching "Last Restaurant Standing" and they were profiling a couple of army dudes who were competing. It took me a moment to realize it was Guns Of Brixton playing in the background. Nothing says good cook...

Re: Boots Galore Video Formats

I've always been a fan of MPEG2. It seems more native and lossless to everything. Lot's bigger than Divx, but I don't like Divx or avi or any funky format.

Re: Strummer Galore- The Mega Bottle List - NOW WITH FLAC!

Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros Drum Logos Fukuoka 30th Oct 2001 Picked up in a Trade, this show is not listed on Black Market Clash. Track Listing does not match any of the other Japanese 2001 shows, so seems to be the real deal. If anyone could work their confirmation magic, that would be groovy. I...

Re: English Translation

OK. I think I got it right, but your Queen's English gets me at times. What is the difference between a Pound, Pound Sterling, "P", Quid, and that other one I can't think of right now? Is a busker a street performer? What is the obsession with tea? If anyone has the answer to these or any other que...

Re: English Translation

So what name do you use for a bloke with crumbs in his beard who stands on a street corner, strumming an acoustic guitar? Never heard of a Busker until I found the acoustic gigs. Here we usually call them either bums, panhandlers, hippies or street performers; although the street performer usually ...
