Re: Marky Dread Remasters

Thanks a lot Marky. Nice to have a digital copy. I have a couple of CD's in the loft somewhere. Was this the largest ever audience they had played in front of ? I reckon only Victoria Park in 1978 would come close, but no official figure on that one. I was at Victoria Park in 1978. But I forgot to ...

Re: RIP 101 Walterton

We covered the same stomping ground. Fought the same battles. Danced to the same tunes. Supported the same football team. ...and yet I miss the friend I'd never met. I'll see around old friend. R.I.P. 50.5’s career was already of great interest to me (101W kept me updated) but will be even more now...

Re: The Ultimate Women's Album Poll 2020 - The Final Results & Round-Up

Great work, thank you very much. I'm sure we could get Cherry Red Records to turn that into one of their box set releases!

Re: The Collectors Thread

My main collection is the 2 Tone records catalogue on vinyl. I only collect the UK issues not imports etc. I am trying to ‘complete’ the 7” collection and whilst I do have a copy of every official release there are a few rarities I want/need including: On silver plastic injection moulded label TT1 ...

Once Hoy closes the poll and announces the time, I'll PM the link to everyone who posts in this thread, even if you said people said they couldn't make it—just in case there's a change of plans, change of mind, etc.
Thanks and please copy me in. I'm a definite maybe.

Re: Trivia Question

Great song and what a voice. I like some of his solo stuff too. His cover of Wild is the Wind, for example. Really good stuff mate agreed. A very distinct voice. He was also (apparently) the inspiration behind William, It Was Really Nothing by The Smiths. I don’t think I found that out until some t...

Correct! My next clue was going to be really nothing. Please don't start saying that. Or I'll start believing you. Great song and what a voice. I like some of his solo stuff too. Re: RIP 101 Walterton

Just found this in a PM. I hope he and PH are enjoying a drink now. “ I’ve not met an IMCTer yet but Marky and I grew up 15 miles apart and would have crossed paths on many occasions especially at local gigs, football and fights in the Reading shopping mall 😂 Purple Hayes and I lived a couple miles ...

Re: RIP 101 Walterton

Absolutely awful news, so very sad. He definitely didn’t let on at all, not even in any PMs. I used to ask about his daughter, he was so incredibly proud of her amazing progress. I will be cheering her on even more now. RIP Barny.

Re: Trivia Question

You were spot on, couples in all 4 bands. Dont think there is any system here, just saw the question in the paper and thought id fire it up there. Thanks. OK, maybe a bit obscure, but I have been listening to The Creatures a lot recently. The song Say on the album Anima Animus is Siouxsie's tribute...
