Re: The Council Collective: Soul Deep/A Miner's Point

I've only got the 7" version. It looks like the 12" version is available on Discogs, with the P&P being a lot more than the record itself!

So it is 100 years old this year? 1. I feel old. 2. they still can't be bothered to celebrate the centenary with a deluxe box set? :)
You are 100 years old?
I must be older than that because I am old enough to remember it being released originally!

Re: The Manic Street Preachers Discussion MegaThread

The new album arrived today too, I was looking forward to the review! What do you think? I really like it. I think it's better than Resistance. I like the melancholy vibe set against an almost wistful 70's pop backdrop. Plenty of solid guitar playing from JDB. An occasional clunky couplet, but over...

Re: The Kaleb Horton Deceased Latvian Foreign Minister Thread, 2021 edition

A bit late but very sad news about the passing of Sarah Harding from Girls Aloud. She went to the High School just down the road from where I live and a few of my now grown up lacrosse juniors went to school with her.

I’m guessing Kevin Rowland has taken up the challenge with Too-Rye-Aye. Will be interesting done in a CtC style :scared: https://store.universalmusic.com/dexys/?fbclid=IwAR06lwwUR4kp0bJlodSyDENSw-vgR2tU_BeQ1blXYjaVuU_ifnn5Yi7ppg8 Nothing wrong with how it sounded. Re: The Manic Street Preachers Discussion MegaThread

Thanks Marky, and that reminded me that I do have Faceless Sense of Void on the deluxe box set. So do I thanks to my Starlover. ;) I'm still in the process of cleaning up these. Re: The Manic Street Preachers Discussion MegaThread

Have listened to the new record twice today. Possibly one of the best things they’ve ever done. They’ve finally broken out of the old holding pattern of making a manics record. Seems to be a lot more focus on space and instrumental passages. It’s a lot more organic sounding than the lead off single...

Re: What Are you Listening to Right Now?

I'm really digging the new Stranglers single. Plus great to see Psycho in the vid. https://youtu.be/5fMiCcPO5tY Good stuff, I like it. Off to see them in February. Cool man. May not get many more chances. I've surprisingly never seen them, and yeah, could be the last chance unfortunately. Deny and ...

Re: Coronavirus Thread of Doom

Glad you seem to be on the mend, Tom, and hoping you get your taste back soon. Including his musical tastes. Oh shit. Ha ha. On a positive note, I hope the Test Match helped your rehab? Sped up recovery by 5 days! Been a while since a performance like that eh?! Absolutely. I hope they don't make th...
