Bernie Williams easily a likeable fave. It helps his case that he was good but not great. A rep built totally on being a solid dude.

Not a bad jazz guitar player either.
All of these things you mention are likable. Likable things that were fuel for the hate.

To Yankee Haters (aka good, sensible people), who was the last Yankee who was genuinely likeable to the same degree? Rivera ...

Re: MLB 2022

Also, little known Roger Maris fact: he shares a hometown with Bob Dylan. Also, according to Wikipedia, they also share it with Manson prosecutor Vincent Bugliosi, Kevin McHale, winemaker Robert Mondavi, and Gary "Young girl, get out of my mind" Puckett. We had this Kevin McHale poster on the basem...

Re: The Coronavirus Thread Of Good News

Got my booster and flu shot at the same time yesterday. The arm that the flu shot was in is killing me, the covid is fine. And I was just a bit tired last night, but no other symptoms. In case anyone is wavering, it's not a biggie. I signed up for flu and shingles today but first appt wasn't until ...

Re: The Coronavirus Thread Of Good News

Here's an interesting (to me, anyways) nugget: I've mentioned my public health policy friend a time or two on here (I've found her analysis and recommendations have been about as spot on as anyone's). We were catching up the other day and she relayed that she got covid for the first time herself re...

Re: The Coronavirus Thread Of Good News

Hard to believe but with students back on campus, there’s been a huge uptick in cases (you don’t say!). My dean, because of participation in various welcome back activities with students, got it again and is in rough shape (comparable, seemingly, to Beaneater’s bout). Even tho I don’t mask up on ca...
