Re: Marky Dread Remasters

I was wondering Marky, would you be able to make the full audience recording available? I'd completely understand if you wouldn't want to or couldn't but it'd be nice to have at least for completion sake. I'll upload it later. But I won't remaster it as it seems pointless now we've got this. OK her...

Re: Marky Dread Remasters

Listened through the new songs first from the audience recording, it sounds great! Thanks so much Marky for finding this and remastering it! Can't wait to dive into the whole show. I know this one gets beat on a bunch for not exactly being the greatest show (mainly from Joe's illness, whatever it wa...

Re: B.A.D. Observations Thread

New BAD II recording from Australia on Youtube. Posted from the BAD Facebook group, the guy said he just recently found the tape he recorded, and in the comments mentions he has another one to post from the same tour.

Re: A Song For Joe

That was great. Always love to see other musicians/bands showing their love for the ones that influenced them. Always great to hear some stories about Joe as well

Re: A Song For Joe

Great to see Joe Ely. when I saw he was in the list of performers I knew whatever he did would be great. I know Joe Ely has mentioned before his biggest regret is that he never got to record a song with Joe.

Re: A Song For Joe

Pics and audio dont seem to be synched which is slightly annoying, but enjoyable start nonetheless. Interrupters were great. Doesn’t seem to bad for me. The quality is very good, I hope this gets an official release. I just reloaded and instantly fixed. Perfect now! Wasnt sure about that Hinds Span...

Re: The Clash observations thread.

The Boston show during the Take the Fifth tour is great. Especially Jimmy Jazz at the end, Mick's guitar sounds really nice with a little layer of reverb on it (as well as the phase effect), and Mickey's organ blends really nicely with it. Especially on the beginning and end of the song.

Re: Mogador 2nd night tape (24/09/1981) Final encore Straight to hell, janie Jones, pressure drop, garageland Long thought to be a fragment of a 1982 show I think it WAS Mogador all along The playing that night is very distinctive Janie Jones has a rearranged drum part that is in character with 24/...

BMC says this for the evening of the 6th;"The first encore begins as usual with One More Time with an ‘atmospheric’ guitar intro start. A strong, if not again at Bonds, exceptional performance. The energy and intensity levels then peak as the band tear through three blasts of raw rock’n’roll; Brand...

Re: Bond International Casino Remasters

Interesting thing about the June 12th show that I'm sure you probably noticed too Marky. The encores not only are the same set of songs from the June 6th Evening Show, but they are quite literally the same files for both. I've always assumed that the encores belong to the June 6th show, as it'd make...

Re: Bond International Casino Remasters

Thanks so much for taking on this task, Marky! It's really nice to hear the encores of this show sound actually good, I've always had the tape with the really poor audio quality so it's so nice to have this. It sounds great!

Re: Boots Galore - The Clash MEGALIST (reloaded)

New partial show from 1982 got put up on Dime last month. St Georges Hall, Bradford - 17-07-1982 Seems the show only covers the first half of what the guy taped, mentions in the description that the person who taped it forgot to flip the tape over. Partial set London Calling Clash City Rockers Know ...

Re: Mick Jones late period Clash gear

Fender gifted Mick a Strat prior to the making of London Calling. While doing the research that led to this knowledge, I read that Mick had never been seen playing the Gibson ES 295 rockabilly guitar commonly associated with that record (and part of recent London exhibition) live. Maybe not withThe...
