Re: Joe Strummer 002 coming soon

Disappointed there doesn't seem to be new stuff. Would have killed for a soundboard or demo of his last two songs, but if they're not here I suppose they don't exist. Even that Secret Agent Man track leaked a couple years ago. Anybody know what "Fantastic" is?

It's Tucson, right?

Need more proofreading here ;)

Re: TUSCON 1983 RESTORED

I had a great time in Tuscon. Best steak and pecan pie of my life at some place where Lee Marvin used to get his weed, great nature tourism too. Thinking of going back if I can ever afford a vacation again. Don't get too down on it.

Best bootleg I've ever heard. Pro footage is honestly my white whale.

Re: The Mr. & Mrs. Tepista "Everything's Bigger in Texas" Thread

I wanted you to meet my wife so you can knock it off with that damn bit. HAHA. Well, our house sold officially the day before I quit my job, and our bid for a house in Austin Colony (sounds like a cult) was accepted this morning. So officially, Austin is drowning and I live by the (Colorado) river....

I'm legit bummed to hear you guys are headed out down Texas way. I wanted you to meet my wife so you can knock it off with that damn bit. (Covid kinda wrecked that.)

Re: Pitchfork reviews Combat Rock

I know it's still popular to make fun of Pitchfork, but their Sunday reviews are the best music writing going. I had a great experience writing one of those. Pretty much had infinite freedom for adding historical context. I actually wondered if you wrote it mid-read, but the lack of Central Valley ...

Re: The Kaleb Horton Deceased Latvian Foreign Minister Thread, 2021 edition

Charlie Watts is a really tough one to wrap my head around. Feels like the floodgates opening on the definitive end of monoculture. Over the next ten years, they're probably all gonna go. Dylan, McCartney, Bill Murray, Harrison Ford, Pacino, Nicholson, the rest of the Stones, it's gonna really suck....

Re: This Archer show is pretty damn good.

Decent enough, I suppose, but nothing exceptional. Which is fair enough for something in its 12th season. What's the deal with Jessica Walters, are they gonna "Poltergeist 3" her? She had already wrapped the voice acting for whatever season we're currently on. Hopefully they let it go with dignity ...

From Here to Eternity on vinyl?

Anybody know if there's a reissue plan there? I'm looking at spending like $170 for it, and I'll do it because I'm a weak man and a completist (I know it's not gonna sound better than my lossless files, it's a ritual thing for me), but I don't wanna do it and feel stupid later. P.S. Got a mint copy ...

Re: The De-Berniator

A surprising thing that's happened since the De-Berniator: I sort of hate The Dictator more now that the arrangement is charitable. Dunno why. It's stuck in my head in the worst way possible. Maybe I just can't stand the lyrics and this gives me the opportunity to notice that.
