Re: RIP Terry Hall
Hello, Okay, it's a cover but this is my go-to version of Pressure Drop. I have played this often in class before I start lecture. Is Terry on it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWweHBpscDU No he is not. This is from a half-hearted reunion album with Lynval, Neville and I think Roddy. The conventi...

Re: RIP Terry Hall
Horrid news. A true legend.
I saw the Specials sans Terry in 1998 but didn't take my chance to see the reformed Specials in recent years.
Rest in peace Terry.

https://i.redd.it/u5v4v5odca4a1.jpg Is there special significance to the colour variations in the flags? Yes, there's a very stupid color schema involved here: https://emflag.com/blog/what-do-all-the-thin-line-flags-stand-for/ And of course this color schema essentially adds up to a gay pride flag.

Re: The Clash observations thread.
Cool! What book is that? Good Night Owl by Greg Pizzoli. Looks like Fugazi's The Argument right next to it and maybe Nirvana's In Utero in the fold. Not sure of the others, but not a bad collection there! Best of blur. And definitely the Fugazi sleeve but not In Utero unless there was a limited edi...

Wild that this deep into the tournament only 2 teams have been eliminated. The final group matches are gonna be nuts -- almost everyone can qualify for the R16 with a win lol.

Re: Without People You're Nothing
It's interesting to take the Instrumentalcore tracklist and swap in the vocal tracks we do have. That seems to be the absolute closest one can get to the original concept for Streetcore. Fantastic and London is Burning can be used to get a sense for where Joe left it, too.

Re: Without People You're Nothing
Marky, I assume it's not feasible or else you'd have done it, but I can't shake the thought -- is there any hope to isolating the vocal from the live Dakar and setting it over the studio instrumental track? No idea what audio software is capable nowadays. It might be possible but the vocal extracti...

Interesting as we were just discussing the Brixton gig in another thread.
When it rains, it pours. It's a great time to be a Mescaleros fan.

Re: Heston and Marky's Friday Top 5
Top track. I'm also a big fan of a track on the Pressure Chief album, "Take It All Away." Ooh yeah I had forgotten about that one. I've got some Cake to listen to this weekend. I've only got "Fashion Nugget". What would you Cake fans suggest is their best album? Prolonging the Magic for me. I don't...
