Re: MLB 2021

I have mixed feelings about the late 70s Pirates. On the one hand, the 79 WS was the first one I watched start to finish and actually caring (I couldn't comprehend now a team could come back down 3-1 to win), so there's warm feelings there. But they were the first of many teams to break my heart as...

Re: MLB 2021

I watched a few Jays games last season. It looked like a nice intimate park, especially compared to Rogers Centre. The novelty of it all might generate more fans than if they played in TO this year. Yeah they really made some cool changes to Sahlen Field to accommodate major league ball. https://tw...

Re: MLB 2021

Looks quite possible the Blue Jays might play in Buffalo again this year. Hoping they allow some fans in this time. I've never seen a major league game in person and would be stoked to catch a Jays game here. Said nobody ever...well maybe Inder. I watched a few Jays games last season. It looked lik...

Re: NHL 2021

I’m hoping Buffalo luck’s into drafting Owen Power, 6’5” 214lb Canadian defenseman for the U of Michigan. But only if he comes with a Homeresque song/montage.

Re: NHL 2021

What's the general attitude towards ownership like? The Pegulas seem to like getting involved in things... Yeah, our ownership is viewed as overly meddlesome for sure. It’s nice to have their deep pockets, but Terry Pegula never really ceded any major decision making to anyone with reliable hockey ...

Re: NHL 2021

I think my favorite part of Buffalo Sabres hockey is thinking about the coming draft. I especially like hoping for an early pick before our season is even a quarter over. Will we finish near last, get bumped back by the lottery, and select a lackluster forward? Will we nab a promising defensive pros...

Can't dream in Canada without perilous sledding being involved. That's science, Jack.
Ain’t that the truth. Also, dream Kim Jong Un is apparently a lot jollier than in real life.

Re: Thread of Dreams

I went to sleep last night determined to remember whatever I dreamt about, but my brain flushed it and I can’t dredge up a single detail. So I’ll share another one from the vault. This one was from July 2019, and I found it so bonkers and funny that I had to write it down when I woke up that morning...

Re: Thread of Dreams

I dreamed again that I couldn't find my locker. <shrug> It is going to be the most amazing dream when you finally find that locker. You're going to wake up on such a heroin high. Yeah right. And someday I’ll have that dream where I’m back in high school, only this time I’m prepared for the exam and...

Re: Thread of Dreams

And for the record, the only substance I had consumed before going to sleep was my Mom’s beef stroganoff around 8pm on Christmas Eve. I'll have to ask her for the recipe. The last time I had beef Stroganoff was at a restaurant in Flagstaff, AZ, in 1988. How do I remember this? I got a wicked ...

Re: Thread of Dreams

That narrative is awesome both for being so detailed (and that you retained) plus, especially, that you'd hallucinate within a dream. That's high quality dream shit. Oh yeah, it was disturbing as hell due to the distinct feeling of drug-induced hallucination and the horrifying sensation of becoming...
