Aww thanks guys :) I've been gone for the better part of a year, and you still gave me a birthday thread!
Now that I'm an unemployed layabout with a Master's degree, you'll probably be seeing a lot more of me around here. What's new with everyone?

Re: Canadian politics gets innerestin'
It appears that I'm in the minority here, as a supporter of Jack and the NDP but I'm just gonna voice my opinion anyways... I started voting because of Jack Layton...He was the one politician who I always felt I could trust. He was the only one out of the three who seemed to acknowledge the young vo...

If you can get past the horrible song, the giant baby does a faceplant about half way through. That video is really hard to watch...It's bad enough that the poor kid is so fat he can't stand up, but then the one g...

They were talking about him like he already died on the CBC last night!Dr. Medulla wrote:Looks like TommyGunn is the only one who took a flyer on Steve Jobs. I wouldn't be surprised if Jobs won't be around when the next iteration of the iPad is released.

Re: Canadian politics gets innerestin'
This has been such a sad day. I just got back from an impromptu gathering outside of City Hall, and it was great to see so many people all gathered to remember Jack...Lots of orange and some really touching messages written in chalk along the wall of the walkway. I don't think I've ever been this af...

Re: movies
Anyone see Fright Night this weekend? With absolutely no expectations going into the movie, I actually really enjoyed it. David Tennant's character is worth a viewing of the movie, if nothing else! I heard Imogen Poots is in it. I had such a pedo crush on her in 28 Weeks Later. Yeah, she plays the ...

Re: Canadian politics gets innerestin'
Not a total surprise that Jack Layton has died—at the news conference a few weeks ago to announce the recurrence of cancer, he had "the look" of someone terminal—but it was disturbingly quick. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2011/08/22/layton-obituary.html So, can the NDP demonstrate that the...

My heart is easily warmed by animals, damn it. It's human larvae that I don't much care for. Oh, how the hell did I not know about this video? NSFW if your coworkers don't like swearing. Hilarious! Thanks for that :mrgre...

A scientifically proven fact: Moving twice in one year is balls. The upside is I'm moving out of a basement apartment into a bit nicer second floor apartment. I just wish I could skip the whole logistical process of moving. Teleporters can't get here soon enough! My bf and I just had a conversation...
