Re: The Clash observations thread.
If Devo made Cut the Crap in 85, it would have been hailed a miraculous return to form. I love CTC as is. Garish, Guady, pop-art/Mad Max version of "punk". Only thing I'd change is axe North and South for Do it Now (which is how I have it sequenced on my version) edit: here's Devo's 1985 single "He...

Re: Out of Control Demo Single Artwork
I did the first one! I love that 84/85 era aesthetic they were going with. The big block letters with cut and paste collage, really cool. I love the shirts too, have been hunting for a recreation of Jive after Five or Mohawk Revenge to add to my collection. I think it was Eddie King that did most o...

Out of Control Demo Single Artwork
Going through an old hard drive I found the original single artwork for the tracks that were leaking around 2007 that would eventually be known as the Out of Control demos. I downloaded these on this very board way back then, but haven't seen the artwork around since so I thought I'd share. I don't ...

Re: The Clash observations thread.
I've listened to Cut the Crap more than the debut and London Calling combined. (GEER, S!, CR are top 3 in listens) There are no skips on CTC until Fingerpoppin! There are no skips at all on ST and LC. ;) I probably skip Deny, Protex Blue, Four Horsemen, Card Cheat and maybe Right Profile 9/10 times...

Re: Bond International Casino Remasters
Was just listening the June 8th soundboard, on The Call Up Mick does a great little guitar break I never heard him do on any other version of this song (at around the 2:57 mark). I dunno, just digging through these shows its so fun to see what they did different night to night. The June 8th version ...

Re: My semi-annual plea for Rat Patrol, part 27
Last night I rewatched that doc Rise and Fall of the Clash for the first time since it came out. Great for a fan made doc. For the most part in that documentary Mick is very soft spoken and deferential and isn't elaborating on much. But on the subject of Glyn Johns being brought in to remix Rat Patr...

Re: clash images washed up on the internet's seashore
I've been scouring the web for photos of any of 1983 pre-US Fest shows, and this is all I could find. Taken from their Witchita Falls stop, you can see Pete Howard on the drums. Joe's playing his Esquire. Wish there were more photos of these Texas shows. https://i.redd.it/i92r4idlclw11.jpg There is...
