Re: oh mercy

Hah, I was really looking forward to him finding a label for that and now he has I'm unemployed. It's one of those few albums that I actually really want to pay for, so I'm going to wait til I can afford the real world CD.

I bet it's great though. Hog ridingly, sheriff wife fuckingly great.

Re: Flex and Wolter's Den of Nerdly Awesomeness

Neil Gaiman's written two of my favourite books of all time. Good Omens and American Gods.

How do the mouthbreathers of the nerd thread rate them?

Re: I love this city...

I still can't get over Andy's accent. He has by far one of the most beautiful voices. Ahhh... What? Since when is a Manc accent beautiful? Actually, when WASN'T it beautiful is the question. No, really it isn't. If Liverpool had more of a music scene she'd be here telling us scouse was like a cheru...

Sort of like how I feel about Canadians. :shifty: And I, Coloradions. Why do you have to be so mean to JennyB? It's okay. I'm cool with The Chosen Colorodistas. Can't we all just get along and realize the true enemy? The Limeys. Fo' real? Damn, I thought we were cool. http://www.loc.gov/exhib...

I find this pansy obsessiveness over beer especially candy-arsed. The taste, texture and how much it rots your guts and fucks your head in the morning are immaterial. This is how you decide what brand your going to buy; In A Store Do you have money to blow? Yes - Great, buy yourself a couple crates ...

Imagine a 55 year old Sid Vicious. I think he'd be like a sadder Steve Strange.

Re: Return of the Mighty Observations Thread

Another record store observation: and my ultimate refutation of Doc's relativist position. The other day a guy came into the store to pick up the new Insane Clown Posse cd. He claims he listens to them exclusively . As in, no other music. Just ICP. He went on to extol the virtues of Paul Blart: Mal...

Re: The IMCT Celebrity Death Pool 2009

In anti-death pool news, "We'll Meet Again" (covered by Johnny Cash on The Man Comes Around) singer Vera Lynn got to the top of the British charts today with a best-of, interesting largely because I always assumed she was dead. 92 year old Vera Lynn has just beaten whippersnapper Bob Dylan to becom...

Re: new Topper interview

It was really cool to see Tops single Budgie out of the Banshees as one of the drummers who put the fear of God into him. Budgie is the Man. Sad to see Siouxsie become a Goth Liza Minnelli after their split, though her voice is gone anyway. She'd still get it to this day, though, wouldn't she? Inde...
