Re: Rat Patrol reconstruction

"Rat Patrol From Hell W10" is a labour of love, encyclopedic, made with passion and knowledge.

P.S. I hope in a re-up of "The New Testament", I think another labour of love.....

Re: Rat Patrol reconstruction

My personal opinion is that during the last years I have listened to many versions of Rat Patrol and in the end I have come to the conclusion that the best version of Rat Patrol is.... Combat Rock, more balanced and with the right length. This is why I like very much the alternative "Another Combat ...

Re: CD tracks that are different from vinyl

I'm sure we've done this exercise before, but is there a list (or desire to compile a list) of all the different edits/mixes/etc. that may be available exclusively on specific releases? I think I was starting to do something like that a few years ago, creating a supplemental Sound System box, but I...

Re: CD tracks that are different from vinyl

I know there's two different versions of Long Time Jerk, I think SBMC used the longer version as opposed to the shorter b side version. I think it's the other way around. I had never heard the long version until someone uploaded it for me. This seems to confirm that: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S...

CD tracks that are different from vinyl

Listening to "Cool confusion" on CD where it is referred to as b-side I heard it's completely different from the original 7" b-side. Are there any other tracks that are different version between vinyl and CD? Should I Stay Or Should I Go? on THE STORY OF CLASH, VOLUME 1 / THE SINGLES [1991] / CLASH ...

The Story Of The Clash Volume 2 ....in my opinion

This is in my opinion how it could be "The Story Of The Clash Volume 2" (with the following specifications): - all the tracks are already released but not easy to find (except "Midnight To Stevens") - it is not a container of all rare tracks existing, but first of all a collection nice to hear - mor...

Re: Sessionography?

Sessionography is certainly a great idea, it can be used to solve many doubts. For example when it was recorded "London's Burning" (live) b-side of Remote Control? Beaconsfield recordings: they are often referred to as 26 April 977, but according to BMC on that date the band was on tour in France....

Re: How many official versions of "This Is England" exist?

@Heston: Many thanks for your expert answer, there is a lot of confusion about the 7" dutch version called from time to time "alternate version", "alternate mix", "dub version", etc. with the same definitions used often for the real single version. I think the best version of the 7" dutch is on the ...
