Re: Star Trek

I found a picture of Kirk and Spock making sweet, sweet love in a bathtub somewhere. i could find that for you if you'd like. I once had a anthology called (I think) Cultural Studies that contained an article on specialized Star Trek fanfic devoted to stories about Kirk and Spock marooned on a plan...

Shatner live is being dl'd. You are a Nausicaan among Bolians. Or something like that.

A few issues later, Stan's sticking with the script.

Re: Freaking out about college.

I've always wondered how getting a degree in history works. Do you have to decide which type of history to get it in (like American, European, World)? Do you specialize in any certain type of history? My experience (meaning I don't know how others schools work) is that for an undergrad there's no r...

Seems a perverse means of celebrating a new lease on life and all that jazz. Maybe he means a ritual murder of Sammy. :shifty:

Great news, J—more than great, in fact. BTW, is he aware of Chickenfoot?

Re: downgrade an upgrade

Can't you just uninstall IE and then install something else? I know it's more involved downgrading OS—believe me; I went thru that nonsense a few weeks ago—but I wouldn't think there's much to it with just a regular ol' app.

"Senses-shattering" is my favourite Stan-ism, along with declaring that a fight or a story "had to happen."

See you in thirty, true believer.

Sox win 6-5 in 11. Two shit shows in a row, but the split is more than fine.

Bay with a maple leaf in his golden sombrero today—0-5, 5Ks. I was willing to give my body up for that?

Re: Help me defeat Hitler...

I'm for whatever Brubaker does. He's never really let me down yet. You didn't read his brief run on Uncanny X-Men. I chalk that up to the X-Men franchise so covered in sludge that nobody can write them well anymore. But otherwise, yeah, in Ed I trust. Well, I specifically meant on Cap, but yeah he'...

Wolter wrote:Stan Lee had an almost pathological need to refer to women as "females." It's charmingly dehumanizing.
I like to keep in mind his role in Mallrats, where Smith has Stan describe himself as a pussy hound, when reading his characterization and assessment of women. What kind of tail did you get, Stan?

Re: Help me defeat Hitler...

In the actual comics world, Captain America is slated to "Come back from the dead" in an issue released today. Aside from the standard July 4th Hoopla, I figured he needed some honoring. Maybe this is sacrilege, but I kinda hope that Bucky stays as Cap, at least for a few more years. He's a more in...

Re: Flex and Wolter's Den of Nerdly Awesomeness

I've loaded up ASM #'s 50-175 and reading a few issues each day. One thing I've concluded is that John Romita's pencils look best when Jim Mooney inks—Mooney really does make the difference between good and great Romita. Also, Stan really knew how the ladies operate: ASM83.jpg note: That's not Moone...
