Is the master you mention the same demo recording with vastly better clarity, or a more fully realized version of the song? Either way, it would be wonderful if Mick released this. Maybe the Joe Strummer 003?

Same recording. Better clarity. Better stereo separation.

Happy to oblige, Chris. I’m not sure if Mick was involved with the words. They seem very Strummer-like to me. As for the track, the master sounds far better than the air check from Don’s radio show. I think it’s releasable as is, and it’s sad so few have heard it.

I was looking for some U Roy and somehow came across this - a 2021 remake by U Roy with Mick Jones and Big Youth of a song he did originally with Johnny Clarke and King Tubby. I had no idea.
