Re: movies
I enjoyed it for what it was. My son was a bit critical of the Jude Law as "surprise" villain. And also that the Kree? would be benevolent we already knew they were bad guys right? Personally I don't know as my nerdiness doesnt cover comic book stuff. Granted the characters would not have been awar...

Re: Return of the Mighty Observations Thread
As an experiment, I haven't been using any salt on my food for the past two weeks. Well, last night I had a craving for fried chicken, so I asked the man to stop at Popeyes. Whoa, Nelly, was that shit salty. It's amazing to me how fast my taste buds adapted to no salt. And it's amazing to me that f...

Re: movies
Had some free movie passes so caught Captain Marvel, pretty decent! Definitely some Marvel shit going on I didn't understand since I've skipped a few years of the movies, but fairly self contained. I always liked Carol Danvers as a character and obviously the inclusion of a third wave ska track in ...

Re: What Are you Eating Right Now?
I always flip my egg but only for a few seconds. I like a bit of a runny yolk. That's over easy my man. As for what do I mean by real eggs? Some institutional places as well as fast food places get containers of yellow liquid that are purportedly eggs. They are often used for scrambled eggs, omelet...

It was my favorite shirt until my wife probably threw it away many years later. That shirt got me a lot of strange looks. https://musicnukeblog.files.wordpress.com/2015/05/ba164-cover.jpg I definitely would have worn that. It's funny because it made many people visibly unsettled, wife included.

I did teach my niece and her cousins how to run the three card monty scam. It's good for young people to learn a trade in uncertain times. As the recent scandal has proven, college isn't for everyone. Some kids no matter how rich just ain’t smart enough for college. 50.5W followed one of those bust...

Breakfast most days = 1 egg over easy, 1 sausage, 1 piece of dry wheat toast, and a few cups of water. If I'm too tired or running late I get a egg/bacon/cheese on a muffin near work. They cook the eggs fresh and use real eggs not some yellow slurry.

It was probably 94 - 96 before I bought a CD player/CDs. Dont recall the first one I bought. The first CD I owned was this, I won it from the local college radio station (93 or 94) along with a shirt with this design. It was my favorite shirt until my wife probably threw it away many years later. Th...

Re: The Mighty Musical Observations Thread
Was just reading a review of an interesting looking new book by David Hepworth about the golden age of the LP which he claims was between 1967 and 1982. He suggests that by ‘82 vinyl was being usurped by the cassette and that bit I am curious about. My own experience was listening to cassettes for ...

Excerpt from an upcoming book about the current Yankees: Cashman, like the three or four masters of his craft, is one part diplomat to two parts pickpocket. He can politely boost your watch and wallet and leave you thinking the heist was your idea. Jeter’s style, by contrast, is to dictate terms an...
