honestly, I couldn't give two shits what he thinks about anything. Let him take care of his wife, and make shitty music, I really don't care what he says or does at all. His relevance expired decades ago.

Re: Liz Truss

It wouldn't surprise me it Truss called an early election, after introducing a few Saviour policies. Be totally dependent on the polling of course. If she did and won it then she would really go to town. Heaven help us.

Re: Clash-related locations in London?

I remember going to see it when it was down by Pimlico or Vauxhall Bridge or somewhere but that's got to be near enough 20 years by this stage! It was in 2009! Holy underpants, how time flies. Mick's collection was branded The Rock & Roll Library, if you google that phrase you'll find lots of links...

Re: If you really wanna go - alive or dead my friend

[/quote] Thanks for the link. I watched the documentary over the weekend. I was quite surprised how slanted it was to a Russian viewpoint. For that reason I would think carefully about recommending it to anyone whose mind I was trying to open to the background of what is happening now. I think that ...

Re: Kyiv Calling

it has been blooming on the networks since this weekend From Billy Bragg page Yesterday evening I posted a clip of the Ukranian band Beton performing their rewrite of 'London Calling'. According to reports, the song 'Kyiv Calling' was approved by the Clash, with funds raised going to the Free Ukrai...

Re: If you really wanna go - alive or dead my friend

Also, Oliver Stone has a documentary on Ukraine from 2016 that's now available for free online . Haven't seen it yet, but it's probably at least worth a watch. Thanks for the link. I watched the documentary over the weekend. I was quite surprised how slanted it was to a Russian viewpoint. For that ...

Re: Kyiv Calling

Just so no one thinks we're totally negligent, it was posted in the politics sub-forum in the thread about the Russia-Ukraine War, that said this might be a nice place to comment as well for people who want to hew more closely to the music than the politics. I'm the guilty culprit I considered star...

Re: If you really wanna go - alive or dead my friend

Been following this thread with interest some great thought provoking posts and links.
Watched the presentation below earlier. It was recorded in 2015 and it's very prescient. Offers a clear analysis of what's happening now.

Re: Back to The Clash - Who has seen them and when?

I saw them once - 23 Feb 1982 Melbourne - on the Far East tour. I have written a long review some years ago that I sent to BlackMarketClash but it never was included. ?Too busy to do it again. Just found your review post here in the archive. "Hi, I have been a fan of your site for years and firstly...
