J&MC NME request

Post by dave202 »

Does anyone have a rip of 'Some Candy Talking' the NME 7" cover mounted disc by The +Jesus and Mary Chain. I still have the single although it's pretty much unplayable now and would love to hear it again. FLAC if possible. Thanks in advance.

I think I do. I will have a look. I also think it made it on to one of the deluxe album re-releases.

Do you rate it better than the official release?

Sorry, I thought I might have ripped it from the vinyl, but I haven't. It is on the Darklands expanded version, if anyone has that and could share it with dave202?

I'll keep it active until you tell me you snagged it: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/fm9yj6i7 ... tvreu5ms2c

Thanks, I just listened to it and it sounds great, I still do prefer this version to the official version.

And available for 20 p + P&P from Discogs.

I have all those NME singles, some good tracks amongst them. I really liked the Steinski track (The Motorcade Sped On) - I will have to give it a play, I suspect it might sound a bit dated now.

There are Youtube links in the individual Discogs links, so listening to some of them now. The Steinski one still sounded good to me. On the Style Council/Lloyd Cole one now!

Thanks for the help everyone. I only have the deluxe Psychcandy release and since it wasn't there I assumed it hadn't been reissued, let alone on Darklands. I'd looked for that once but was priced out of it. I must start looking again.
