Just a little FYI for folks who want to convert the flac files (I am too lazy to see if you lot already posted something on this subject):

Audacity can open flac files and save them as wav (and then you can go to iChoons to convert wav to mpFree).

Audacity is free (google it!)

New show just surfaced last year, not yet on Megalist. Recording posted on BMC's upload site yesterday. http://homepage.mac.com/blackmarketclas ... lphia.html

SHITTY sound quality. D-/F+, one of the worst recordings in circulation. For completists only.

This version sounds inferior to the mp3 version. Does anyone have a good quality version of this?
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Tappy,

Thanks for all the great posts. I appreciate the effort.
I'm having trouble with two shows you posted earlier this month: September 2, 1982 (Pier 84 NYC) and September 8, 1984 (Palasport, Reggio Emilia, Italy).
They download fine, but FLAC Frontend throws errors, and the resulting WAVs are choppy.

Everything else from you has worked fine. Can you investigate and repost? Anyone else have this problem?

Also, if you have the RPI Show in Troy NY from 10/03/82 in lossless format that would a special treat for me. It was my first Clash show. I also caught the Clash (without Mick) at the Palace Theatre in Albany (April 1984). If only I could have afforded a tape recorder for the Albany show.

Thanks,
Philby

No one will hold it against someone who provides so many excellent lossless boots.
