New partial show from 1982 got put up on Dime last month. St Georges Hall, Bradford - 17-07-1982

Seems the show only covers the first half of what the guy taped, mentions in the description that the person who taped it forgot to flip the tape over.

Partial set

London Calling
Clash City Rockers
Know Your Rights
Spanish Bombs
White Man in Hammersmith Palais
Guns of Brixton
Train in Vain
One More Time
Magnificent Seven
Career Opportunities
Somebody Got Murdered

Don't got a way to download from Dime so hopefully someone can get this show for us! http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-deta ... ?id=680668
https://mega.nz/folder/r4tHAYjL#XGRQD6XCOZdBLAYLpUAodg
this is what I had downloaded from that Dime post. All I changed was the folder name to fit my scheme. It is HD Audio, 24 bit 96 hz, 910 MB.
In my opinion this recording will really benefit from some Marky Dread magic.
It's there on the list mate. ;)
Ah ok, I thought a copy was needed, my bad
I have a whole bunch of stuff to post once I've finished the Bond shows.

Re Bradford 82 - delighted to see a recording from this gig finally surfacing which I saw back in the day. Looking forward to Marky's remaster of this, shame its only half the gig, how could someone forget to turn the tape over! With some mates we waited outside the venue pre -gig and I noticed Mick walked over from the nearby hotel they were in, separately from Paul and Joe and after the gig I went back stage and it was very clear that relations between Joe and Paul with Mick were very strained. I travelled up to Bradford and got a ticket no problem at the door, the band were big in America by then but struggled to sell out the St Georges Hall. I took some photos at the gig, which I'm sure I gave to Graham when I started corresponding with him and helping with the boot reviews on bmc ( I remember my eldest was not long born she'll be 21 soon!), so they are probably on there but I see not on the Bradford 82 gig page so posting below - be good to see them Marky on your artwork! (only managed to post the best 2 if anyone wants anymore let me know) Peter

Great story Peter and I will definitely use them for the artwork. If you have a third pic please upload it as it would be very useful. Thanks for sharing much appreciated mate.

Hello,

I am also looking for two other shows to be re-posted (the files have disappeared from my onedrive - anyone else have this problem with onedrive?) - the Pier 9.1.82 and 9.2.82.

Thanks!

I have the 9-2, I do not have the 9-1. Not sure if these are the files you had, these are the ones I have, you are welcome to them.

New on DIME today, 1980 03-10 Motor City, in 24-48 FLAC. I see on the first page of links on this megalist the only copy available is a 128 MP3, so I am uploading this 24-48 set here, maybe Marky can do some whammajamma on it to spruce/clean/sharpen it up a bit? I mean because he doesn't have enough remastering to do
The sound is not too bad, I did not alter the files in any way other than changing the names to fit my naming scheme. Hopefully this will make for a better copy of this show for us here at IMCT. Seeing as it is 24-48, the total file size of this set is 1.02 GB. Here is the relevant info from this set.

The Clash
1980-03-10
Warren, MI
Motor City Roller Rink

Sourced from the master recording.

Sony D6 Recorder-Sony 939 Mic - TDKD-C90 [master] Cassette -
Technics cassette deck - ProTools (EQ/Volume/Widen/24-48 WAV) -
SoundForge (speed/pitch correct, split, Flac).

Sound quality is good - I'd rate it a B-/C+.

This is pretty awesome. It's an alternate source to the version that
I have from the old trading days for sure. I A-Bd a few spots and this
seems to be closer and more in the crowd than the old version, and the
music is less muffled. It's a little distorted here and there, but given
the time and gear, it's very listenable and it cleaned up nicely with a
little EQ and stuff, but nothing crazy. What a show this woulda been to see,

Also included some frequently seen images from the internet and scans of the
bootleg CD.

001 Clash City Rockers.flac
002 Brand New Cadillac.flac
003 Safe European Home.flac
004 Jimmy Jazz.flac
005 London Calling.flac
006 Guns of Brixton.flac

010 Koka Kola.flac
011 I Fought The Law.flac
012 Spanish Bombs.flac
013 Julie's in the Drug Squad.flac
014 Police and Thieves.flac (tape flip fade out-in near the end)
015 Stay Free.flac
016 Wrong `Em Boyo.flac
017 Complete Control.flac
018 Clampdown.flac
019 Garageland.flac
Encore 1
020 Armageddon Time.flac
021 English Civil War.flac
022 Tommy Gun.flac
023 London's Burning.flac
Encore 2
024 Janie Jones.flac

I'm downloading this. The version I previous remastered wasn't the 128 from the Megalist.

From page 33 of my remasters thread.

Next up : Motor City Roller Rink, Detroit, MI : March 10, 1980

This upload was kindly supplied by (Xtopher) Chris and was taken from the JEMS Archive via Dime. We are grateful to Jared (RIP) who sadly passed away in October 2016 for sharing his fantastic archive with his trusted friends/experts to watch over. This upload is made up from three separate sources to make a complete show. I have made a couple of repairs and remixed the sound.

This show was an added date for the tour in honour of the great soul legend Jackie Wilson (RIP).

I've played them back to back and mine sounds s bit better in my opinion. I will do further comparison checks.

On further plays I'm not convinced that this "new" Dime upload is kosher. Sounds like the same version from JEMS (Jared) that I got from Chris that I remastered.

Also new to Dime is a new recording from the band's support show for the Who at the Silverdome in Detroit. Couple different tunes we didn't really hear during the support shows, Police and Thieves, Know Your Rights, and Straight to Hell

http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-deta ... ?id=690245

Taken from the master recording.

Sony D6 Recorder-Sony 939 Mic - Maxell UDXLII C90 [master] Cassette -
Technics cassette deck - ProTools (EQ/Volume/Widen/24-48 WAV) -
SoundForge (split, Flac).

Sound quality is ok/good - I'd rate it a C/C+. Considering it's the massive
Silverdome and was probably half empty for The Clash, it's very good. I'm not
sure if there are other recordings of this show out there. This show is
legendary around these parts for the abuse The Clash took, but they were not,
in fact, BOOed of the stage. Plenty of BOOs between songs but Joe does his
best to win them over. I was quite pleased to get my hands on it.

001 London Calling.flac
002 Police And Thieves.flac
003 Guns of Brixton.flac
004 Police On My Back.flac
005 Rock the Casbah.flac
006 Know Your Rights.flac
007 Somebody Got Murdered.flac
008 Career Opportunities.flac
009 Straight to Hell.flac
010 Should I Stay or Should I Go.flac
011 Brand New Cadillac.flac
012 I Fought the Law.flac

I have no way of getting it off Dime but I'm sure someone will do that.

Page 33 of the remaster thread my remaster has been available for ages mate.

Here's what you wrote at the time.

"Man, three songs in and this Roller Rink gig is sounding fucking great. Another one that seems to have passed me by".

I've listened back to back from this "new" source and I'm not convinced it's not just the same as what we already have.

The only problem with the version supplied to me by Xtopher from the JEMS archive was the encores were not as good as the rest of the gig. However listening to this "new" Dime upload they sound very similar to my remaster. As if someone has grabbed them from here then put on a cd then ripped the tracks and uploaded to Dime.

...and BMC does have it listed mate. It lists the original "On Eight Mile” boot which is thought to be a mono recording. But all the gig details are listed with Ted Nugent in the crowd etc.

Jackie Wilson benefit concert.
