More NYC PUNK?

Post by JChampion »

I was wondering if anybody has heard of or has the “Live at Continental: Best of NYC, Vol. 1 & 2?
I can’t seem to locate a reasonably priced cd of either and I was wondering if it was worth it.
Track listings look good but I was also wondering about sound quality as it is supposed to be all live.

Never heard of that album before but, depending on the sound quality it looks like a good one.

When the place had live music it was called the Continental Divide and it was one of the best clubs around at that time. 88-95 I saw just about everybody there including Iggy, Joey Ramone, Cheeta Chrome, Sylvain Sylvain and so many more.

It then just became the Continental and was just a dive bar that had 5 shots for 10$. Now they tore it down and it will be just another high rise condo.

It sounded like a great time to be in NYC. You got to see some great shows. I’m jealous!
I love the track list just really questioning the sound quality.
Thank you for sharing!

It really was, I moved here in 88 and I got to see all of my fav stars that I only dreamed about. Things have changed so much the neighbourhood is unrecognizable, all high rises and luxury condos. Vacant storefronts everywhere, and absolutely no law and order. I'm really looking forward to leaving, it's just not the same place I moved to in 88
