The Panzer Gym, Montclaire State College, NJ, USA, 24.09.89 is particularly good for an audience recording. Am enjoying immensely!
A million thanks

That gig's a fun one. College party atmosphere worked really well for BAD. It's got a great version of A Party on that one. Another gig I've enjoyed a lot is the Stadio Flamino show, in support for U2. Obviously the crowd doesn't seem too into it, but Mick really is. I can imagine that the video for Just Play Music used a lot of footage from this show, especially the bits where Mick is jumping all around the stage, heading down to the lower levels.

Oh, I always thought Sheffield Leadmill was the first gig!

Is Norwich, 28.02.1987 a new addition to the BAD megalist, can't remember seeing it before?

Also, any recommendations on the best Astoria residency night in 1987 for quality/performance?

Cheers for your sterling work here, Esmark.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

So did I, until the Nightmoves gig surfaced on the same cassette as the Leadmill gig, but marked earlier. Might be wrong tho....

Personally I prefer the gig from the 5th, but the sound is best on the gig from the 3rd, imo... All of them are a bit "muddy" and could do with some work on the sound quality.

Updated the links to some 2011 gigs, and the Amongst Pirate demos.

I think I'm almost done with the lot I've got. Got a partial (3 songs only) recording from the Bestival '11 left.

So if anybody has something that's not on the list on the first post, please share!

Seems like the first Astoria gig is actually the Irving Plaza show, just a different source. Esmark, would you happen to have the show from the show from the 4th of the Atstoria mini-residency? I believe it'd be the show which every rarity compilation uses for US North.

Perhaps you're right. I'll give it a further listen....

Sounds like you're right. The one I've got listed as Astoria 02.09.87 is identical to Ivring Plaza 26.04.87.... at least MJ introduces the songs identical at the two shows (what are the odds?) ;) :scared:

Oh awesome, a new BAD gig with the Trenton one! Listening to it now, it sounds great. I love these 88 and 89 shows. Thanks Tappy, keep the new shows coming!
