Finland you gotta live it every day
Let the broken sauna stand
As the price you've gotta pay
Who pfaffed the pfaff? Who got pfaffed tonight?

Silly, but I always associate Finland with the last segment in Jim Jarmusch's Night on Earth, with the devastating story about the baby. So my conception of Finland—Python excepted—is of a heartbroken people. Damn you, Jarmusch!

(Pretty sure that was the first time I'd ever seen Roberto Benigni—he's like Robin Williams except he inspires laughter instead of rage.)

I always think of the MST3K Russo-Finnish joint venture movies. Particularly, The Day the Earth Froze, which is a whimsically retarded take on the Kalevala.

I think about Finnish wizards.
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

Eh, kind of. More on how the Vikings feared them.

Himmler kept a photograph of a Finnish wizard in his office. Possibly on his desk. I shit you not.
