The 1981-05-21 is one of my favorite shows ever. 1981-05-08 is a really good sampler as well.horstking wrote:thanks so much, this is insane
especially the video footage - didnt find this on other bootleg lists that float around on the net.
any tipps which bootlegs a Sandinista!-fan should have? my favourites so far are Amsterdam 1981 and a boot from Bonds("chaos in ny")
audio quality should be good though
is the list compiled and uploaded by you? if so, you are my personal hero.
As for the list, it was my idea with a ton of work from Flex, Charlie Don't Surf, Tappy, and others to upload shows and manage the list.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Just listend through the 83 demos. Don't know how I missed these coming out before? I was never a great Clash 2 fan, though I did see them live in London and enjoyed the experience.
The demos are a far better record of the Mk2 line up than Cut The Crap - really glad to hear these and see the rough potential of the songs. For me none of them are classics and they suffer without Mick's writing and arrangement input. It's a far more back to basics set of songs (but I guess that's exactly as they intended) but really good to hear their greater potential after all these years. In The Pouring Rain had the potential to be a classic.

Hi, This is an incredible webpage! Thanks for all the hard work. I wanted to let you know that the 11 July 82 Brixton lossless version is instead linked to 1982-08-17 - Civic Theatre - Akron, OH - show. Hopefully someday a recording will surface of 1-3-80 S.F., CA!

Somebody Got Murdered in the Japp Edenhal remaster doesn't seem to work in anything I feed it to, by the way.

Shame, one of the best single Clash performances I've heard.MacinSam wrote:Somebody Got Murdered in the Japp Edenhal remaster doesn't seem to work in anything I feed it to, by the way.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Brilliant! Thanks very much for sharing.
Does anyone have a decent boot of the Madrid show in 81?
Cheers

Madrid 4/28 isn't circulating. There was a fake that showed up a couple years ago that ended up being the 4/27 Barcelona show with a scrambled track order and inferior sound. No dice so far.ukstrummers wrote:Brilliant! Thanks very much for sharing.

Just uploaded a speed corrected version of Kiel Opera House 21-05-1984.
Hopefully it's a bit less clipped than before. Credit to the original uploader.
