Sounds good enough, at least to upload as well... and there's a 5GB file limit... Good enough for me. It's supposedly legit, I wonder if it might meet our needs in the short- to medium-term.

Re: Megaupload shut down
A concerned local in Coatsville found out about Dotcom's convictions and emailed all the neighbours alerting them to her concerns about him moving into the neighbourhood. To her suprise she (and every one else) got an email from Dotcom advising that he had just hacked the local server and found the email. He then advised that having him as a neighbour wasn't so bad as he could give insider trading tips, money laundering and dealing with problem neighbours!!!!

Would The Internet Archive be a possibility? They have a live music archive here:

Probably not. I don't think they've got the bandwidth to handle FLAC's.kammovies wrote:Would The Internet Archive be a possibility? They have a live music archive here:

If we can come to some consensus on what's looking like the best available service that's NOT going to get dissapeared by the USA KKK FREEDOM DRONES stepper warned us about, I'll start zipping stuff up and uploading.

Re: Megaupload shut down
jumbofiles.com is what a lot of sites are using now. Have we ruled that out already?

Re: Megaupload shut down
I noticed jumbofiles has this deletion schedule. I'm not sure if that would be a problem. Is there a way to predict how often the files would be downloaded (to predict their longevity)?

Re: Megaupload shut down
Looks like Dotcom had a burner and I'm not talking about a CD burner !!!!!!
Re: Megaupload shut down
Hmmm - is 'burner' slang for a disposable item?
Here's an old radio show:
Weasel - WHFS Tapes - 00 - 1-17-83 A.mp3 - 53.5 Mb
Just wanted to see how it would work.
Oh, cool ... it plays...
