In the meantime, the founders of the Pirate Bay have a storage locker operate called BayFiles: http://bayfiles.com/

It's supposedly legit, I wonder if it might meet our needs in the short- to medium-term.

Just tested with "Dreadzone - live at Sunrise" album, mp3, app. 100 mb and it took app. 7 minutes at an average speed of 250 mb/s wireless. Looks a lot faster than 2share or zShared... Thanks ee, I downloaded the file took around 2.5 mins to download pretty good.

Sounds good enough, at least to upload as well... and there's a 5GB file limit... Good enough for me. Now it's time to find the time to start rip 'em boots...

Probably not. I don't think they've got the bandwidth to handle FLAC's.

I noticed jumbofiles has this deletion schedule. I'm not sure if that would be a problem. Is there a way to predict how often the files would be downloaded (to predict their longevity)?
